How to Utilize This Installation Procedure Confirmation Before the Installation

When Using the parts included in the package Cautions at the Installation
A symbol is described on the illustration in the case of using the parts included in the package
of this product.
1. Check that the main power switch is OFF.
1) Turn OFF the main power switch of the host machine.
2) Be sure that Control Panel Display and Main Power Lamp are both turned OFF, and then
disconnect the power plug.

• When installing the Additional Tray-A1 at the same time, install it in the inner finisher
prior to the installation of the Inner Finisher-D1. For the additional tray installation, refer
to the installation procedure contained in the Additional Tray-A1 carton.

• When installing the USB Device Port-D1 at the same time, install it in the host machine
prior to the installation of the Inner Finisher-D1. For the USB device port, refer to the
installation procedure contained in the USB Device Port-D1 carton.

Installation Procedure
2) Remove the metal fixtures, all the shipping tapes and the cushioning materials. (Removed
screws are no longer reused.)

CAUTION:

1) Hold the positions shown in the figure and take out the finisher from the carton. The following order must be upheld:
1) Remove 3 screws to detach the 2 fixtures.
2) Remove the upper packing material.
3) Remove the lower packing material.

Bend the sensor flag and dismount its shaft at the front end. Then remove the shaft
downward at the rear end.

23) Hold the positions shown in the figure and then set the finisher into the host machine. 24) Fix supplied fixing holder with the screw removed. Then fix another screw removed.

NOTE:
Slowly push in the finisher to the host machine till it stops so that the triangle mark
of the finisher aligns with the left edge of the operation panel.

25) Fix the supplied fixing plate with the screw removed. 26) Connect the harness.

29) Restore the link of the toner supply cover and close the cover. Then close all the other
covers. *1 only when the part is installed in the host machine

Check After Installation

1) Plug in the host machine and turn the main power switch ON.
2) Make several test copies.
3) Confirm the copies have been delivered without failure.

For Support Guide 1. In case the support guide is not installed
• Auxiliary trays only
Support guide is provided at the back side of the finisher delivery tray. Though it is no need to
use the support guide usually, the two effects described in the next are expected by attaching
the support guide. However a paper jam may occur if the support guide is improperly used.
According to the customer's condition, attach the support guide to the auxiliary tray during the
installation of the finisher, if necessary.

2. In case the support guide is installed upside down as shown in the figure
F-1-32 • It is effective in prevention of a fall of the curled paper.
• It is effective in prevention of a fall of the paper which is put again (*1) on the tray by user.
<How to install the support guide>
Pull out the tandem auxiliary trays and attach the support guide on it.
NOTE:
*1. It means that the user picks up the paper from the tray and returns it on the tray.
The paper which returned on the way of the tray is pushed by the next delivered
paper so that the paper will be fallen, or the paper will be fallen by being pushed
repeatedly.

3. In case the support guide is installed as shown in the figure
• It is effective when the case of the step 2) is insufficient.

CAUTION:
When the end of the support guide is set upward and the auxiliary trays are retracted
in the finisher tray, a paper jam may occur in the delivery section with long side
paper. Explain to a customer that a paper jam may occur when the auxiliary trays are
retracted in the finisher tray.

本製品に同梱されている部品を使用する場合は、 イラスト内に同梱部品使用のシンボルを記
載してある。 1. 主電源の切り方
1) 本体の主電源スイッチを OFF する。
2) 操作パネルの表示と主電源ランプが消えたことを確認してから電源プラグを外す。

インナーフィニッシャーの準備

メモ :
インナーフィニッシャーの準備を行う際は、 梱包部材等を下に敷いてインナーフィニッ シャー
を水平にすること。
フィニッシャーが斜めの状態で、 フィニッシャー前カバーを外すと、 ステイプラー台がレールか
ら外れやすくなるので注意する。

補助ガイドについて 1. 補助ガイドを取付けない
・ 通常の使用方法
トレイの下側には、 補助ガイドが収納されている。
通常の使用では、 補助ガイドを取付ける必要はないが、 補助ガイドを取付けることで次項の
"2" と "3" に記載された効果が期待できる。
ただし、 取付け方によっては紙ジャムが発生する場合がある。
ユーザーの使用環境や用紙に応じて、 必要であればフィニッシャーの設置時に補助ガイドを
取付けること。

・ 項目 2 の処置でも十分な効果が得られない場合に有効

注意 ：
補助ガイドの先端曲げ部を上向きに付け、 補助トレイを収納した状態で長いサイズの
用紙を出力すると、 排紙部で紙ジャムが発生する場合がある。
補助トレイの状態によっては、 紙ジャムが発生する可能性があることをユーザに説明
すること。
