Method Statement for Internal Cleaning, Inspection, New Nozzle

installation & Coating Repairs after re-sizing of Dehydration Tank


Nozzle of T-1202/A at Daleel Production Station

Purpose :-
It is intended to carry out Draining down, Internal cleaning, Inspection, Provision of
additional 6”-150# New Flanged Nozzle with reinforcement Pad, Internal Coating
repairs, & any other modification to the Dehydration Tank T-1202/A at the Production
Station.
Refer work details listed below :-

Detailed Scope :-

1. Obtain Permit to Work from Operations.


2. Provide assistance to Operations to Drain down the Dehydration Tank via
Vacuum Truck.
3. On completion of Draining down, positively isolate all Inlets, Outlets, & Drains
via Spading / Reversing existing Spectacle Blinds.
4. Unbolt & Open up 24”-150# Manway & Clean Out Door. / Water Flush & clean
out Dehydration Tank internally. (Use nearest Fire Hydrant & Vacuum Truck)
5. Remove 24”-150# Man ways Flanges from Tank Floating Roof & Provide the
available Exhaust Fan for retracting Gas Fumes & providing additional Venting
during Vessel Entry for remedial work. / Re-instate on completion of work.
6. Ensure Dehydration Tank is free from Gas fumes, H2S & NORM contamination
via Gas Testing prior to entry into Vessel. – Obtain relevant PTW / Confined
Space Entry & Hot Work Permit from Operations prior to work commencement.
7. Crew Leader to conduct Tool Box Talks with personnel involved (Job Specific) in
the presence of The HSE Adviser’s, Supervisors & Daleel CSR. - Ensure
8. Remove existing Level Trolls & Level Transmitters for Servicing, Cleaning &
Calibration.
9. Carry out additional Gas Test for Flammable Gases prior to commencement of
Hot Work.
10. Carry out Internal Coating repairs at defective area’s using. – (Polyamide cured
Epoxy Primer min-50 DFT / Intermediate Coat = Polyamide cured (High
Build) min-100 DFT / Finish Coat = Two Pack High Build Alphatic
Polyurethane min – 50 DFT)
11. Carry out Surface Inspection internally for further Shell Plate / Coating defects &
rectify if relevant.
12. Re-instate Level Troll & Level In & Box-up on obtaining clearance from
Operations.
13. Provide assistance to Operations to normalize Production Separator. / Remove
temporary 4”-150# / 2”-150# Gas, Oil & Water Outlet pipe work from Test
Separators & re-instate original Control Valves & Flow Transmitter Spools.
14. Ensure all Oil spills & contaminated soil is removed to designated dump &
equipment is free from spills & Oil traces.
Note :- Separate Method Statement will be provided in case provisions for additional
Production Separator are also required on the Oil Inlet / Outlet Headers.
