Update Firmware of your IMU

Important!
There are 2 ways to update your IMU Generator to the latest firmware version.

USB Stick
If your Generator is not connected to the Internet you have to download the firmware
and copy to a usb stick.

Direct via FTP

If your IMU is connected to LAN with Internet you can download the firmware directly at
the Generator.

Update Firmware with USB Stick

Download EPOS from the Website

1. Go to emc-partner.com Klick on
„Software” in the top menu and
choose the download button of the
epos software

2. Fill out the Registration Form

and Submit Data, after this a email
will be sent to you including a
validation link. Open this email and
click on the validation link.

3. Fill Out Generator Information Data and Submit -> Download will start

Install EPOS Software via USB Stick

4. Start your IMU Generator and press System Menu Button -> System.

Note the CUPID Version.

5. Open epos.zip and choose the CUPID Version thats shown on your Generator

6. Copy cupid File to the root directory of your USB Stick

7. Plug in USB Stick on front panel of your IMU and press

-> System Menu -> Check Update

8. Follow the Steps on the Screen. IMU will reboot

during the update process. This procedure can take
several minutes.

Please be patient and do not turn off your IMU during the
update process.

9. When update is completed your IMU will show

following Message.

Confirm by clicking on “End Updater”. To activate new

firmware please power IMU off and restart.
Update Firmware with via FTP

1. Make sure the Ethernet Cable is connected to your IMU Generator.

Select System Menu -> Update -> Press Button “Check Update”

2. Your IMU will automaticly search

for the latest EPOS Firmware update
on our FTP Server.

3. If a new update is available you will

see a message box that indicates the
latest available version.

Select “Install now” for download and

installing the latest firmware
8. Follow the Steps on the Screen.
IMU will reboot during the update
process. This procedure can take
several minutes.

Please be patient and do not turn off

your IMU during the update process.

9. When update is completed your

IMU will show following Message.

Confirm by clicking on “End Updater”.

To activate new firmware please power
IMU off and restart.
