Cinda Graubbard via proxy: questions about boat and launch equipment availability and on-
water dates this spring. Josh (via Mark V) says no target date due to safety concerns. Will need
approval of reservoir officials as well as Josh before we get on the water. No angel. Three other
eights. Two launches will be available. Coaches will be available. With 3 rigged 8s we can all
practice at once.

CJC Update: none

Development Update: Dave Kelley

Kick-off on Jan 27th was a success. Still need close to $5,000 to hit target for Hudsons. There
are still a bunch of prizes left that will be used to collect more funds.
Finance Update: Julie Korak
No budget yet (with no program plan yet). Jan: small equipment and regatta central charges.
Where to put rollover from last year? Will be <$1,000. Suggestion to put into 2011 equipment.
Time cards from coaches will be simplified, standardized. Submit monthly excel workbook.

Programs Update: Mark Venezia and Dave Kelley

Winter program update: Success. Thoughts for next year: start Jan., maybe think about other
than SDCC.

Programs calendar is coming together. *All preliminary*, will be presented for club feedback.
Learn to row: 4 sessions (first is full from newcomers to the erg program), 3 regular sessions
Sweep:
Novice ($75): 4 sessions following the LTRs, 6 weeks each (first just 4 weeks)
Experienced ($50): 6 sessions, 4 weeks each
Racing: Due to vacation needs, 2 longer sessions with more absences allowed
Racing 1 – in progress (SDCC target regatta)
Racing 2 ($220)– 12 wk session, spring target regatta (likely Masters Nationals),
Racing 3 ($150) – 10 wk, head race target (likely Head of Des Moines or Pumpkin Head
Sculling:
Learn to scull ($175): two sessions, equipment constraints on having more
Novice ($175): 2 sessions
Advanced ($175 or $35 drop in): 2 sessions
Or – Racing program – proposed ideas: 6-8 people, need interest, 12 weeks, target Master
Nationals. Some coached and some uncoached days. Further suggestions and discussion needed.
Boulder Sprints 2011. Plans in the making!

Equipment Update (Josh Pineda)

Equipment generally in awesome shape.
Repair of Hudson 4 going well. Will have shoes soon.
Hudsons 2x/- on order!
Flammable cabinet a priority
Equipment in a warm place so that it can get some attention; don’t forsee large expense.
New handles on Crokers (and new sleeve soon, too!)
Recommendation: Board mandate that coaches wear PFD while on water. It’s so easy to fall in!
Safety first! Self-inflating probably necessary. We already have them so no additional cost.
Also, PFDs mandatory for single scullers? Who buys and maintains? And what about
coxswains?
Other safety equipment (whistles, bags, etc) is all in good shape.
This season, coaches will be assigned and responsible for their own megaphone (this idea came
from the coaches).
Rack space to increase boat storage will be included in proposed 2011 budget

Updated priority list: (we’ve crossed some off the old list!)
1. Launches and engines, (dream is a wakeless launch)
2. Oars: sculling and sweep
3. Newer midweight 8+
4. Ergometers
5. Trailer
Mark Venezia motions to approve. Ayes: 5, Nays: 0 (Unanimous)
