GOODS & SERVICES TAX (GST)
Educational expenses including tuition are generally exempt from GST.
The College reserves the right to charge GST for goods and services
provided where exemptions do not apply.
TVET, OHS AND COMMUNITY LANGUAGES COURSES
For students in Years 11 and 12, tuition fees will cover up to $1,500 of
course fees for TVET (TAFE Vocational Education & Training), OHS (Open
High School) and Saturday School of Community Languages when the
course is taken as part of a student’s normal curriculum. For TVET, the
difference between the total cost to the College and the agreed subsidy
($1,500 per boy) will be shared evenly by all participants. Please note that
any supplementary costs for excursions, etc must still be paid.
K-6 EXCURSIONS and AMENITIES CHARGE
In addition to the tuition fees, an excursion and amenities fee for Years
K-6 is charged to cover excursions and activities, and possibly including
the school camp, if appropriate. This charge varies depending on the
activities conducted by the Preparatory School. This is included in the
first invoice of the school year.
FEES FOR BROTHERS
When brothers are attending the College at the same time, the eldest
is charged full fees with a:
• 10% reduction for the second
• 15% reduction for the third
• 25% reduction for the fourth and subsequent brothers
(except when provision for a bursary or scholarship applies).
REBATE FOR ABSENCE
In appropriate circumstances, the College may agree to credit up to
50% of tuition fees where a boy is absent for four weeks or more at a
time because of illness or injury. Any request for such a credit should be
directed to the Head of Corporate Services and should be accompanied
by a medical certificate. Final determination of any such request will be
at the discretion of the Headmaster.
WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL OR FROM BOARDING
The school year consists of four terms. When a pupil is to be
withdrawn, or is to change status from boarder to dayboy, it is
understood that the withdrawal or the change of status will take
place at the end of a term. At least one full term’s notice must be
provided to the relevant Head of Campus in writing. Please refer to
your invoice for further conditions.
While it is expected that there will be no change to the Fee Schedule during the course of the year, Council reserves the right to make alterations,
in the event of unforeseen substantial changes in costs.

REGISTRATION FEE
When a boy is registered for possible future enrolment, a Registration
Fee of $150 (incl. GST) is payable. This amount is not refundable.
ENROLMENT FEE
A non-refundable Enrolment Fee is payable before a boy’s enrolment can
be confirmed. This fee is set at one sixth of the Year 12 Annual Tuition Fee
in the year in which enrolment is confirmed (currently $4,116). Boarding
students are also required to pay a refundable deposit of $1,000.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FEES
Full Fee Paying Overseas Students (FFPOS)
Enrolment Fee: $5,756 per dayboy or $7,516 per boarder.
These enrolment fees have a non-refundable component which is set at
one sixth of the Year 12 Annual Tuition Fee. The balance is refundable.
These fees are required by the school before an enrolment can be
confirmed. Any unpaid charges will be deducted from the refundable
portion. The total fees payable consist of all or some of the following
(as applicable):
• Registration fee: $150 (including GST)
• Overseas Student Health Cover: $429 p.a. This amount is set by the
Government and is subject to change. This amount is normally charged
with the Stage 1 fees (on 1 February).
• Higher School Certificate fee: $853. This amount is set by the
Government and is subject to change.
• The base tuition and boarding fees as stated under ‘Annual Tuition
Fees’, above. FFPOS tuition and boarding fees are invoiced for the full
year on 1 February.
• Full Fee Paying Overseas Students pay an additional $4,465 p.a.
• Other fees as stated above
WHEN PARENTS RELOCATE FROM AUSTRALIA
If parents of Overseas Students with Temporary or Special Residence
leave Australia, their sons will be treated as FFPOS. They will need to
pay an extra $1,640 Enrolment Fee for each dayboy or an extra $3,400
Enrolment Fee for each boarder. These payments are refundable after a
student leaves the College and the fee account is settled.
PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS
Invoices* will be issued on: 1 February, 1 May and 1 August 2011.
*Fees for FFPOS for the full year are invoiced on 1 February 2011
As a convenience, payment on the College’s website, BPay, Mastercard,
Visa and POSTbillpay (for cash, cheques and EFTPOS, at Australia Post
branches) options are available. Details are advised at the time of invoice.
Please note that the College does not accept cash fee payments at the
Office. Payments are due within 14 days of issue of invoice. Late payment
of fees may incur an Administration Fee of $125. There is also an option
to pay tuition fees in nine equal monthly instalments from February to
October inclusive – refer to separate correspondence from the Head
of Corporate Services for further details. A student’s enrolment may
be discontinued if fees remain unpaid. Similarly a student will not be
allowed to participate in a non-compulsory school event (e.g. a tour)
unless tuition fees have been paid. Enquiries regarding fees or accounts
