environment can play a powerful role in dictating outcomes.)

• What type of athletes or individuals were involved in the session? (Age, sport, level
of previous training experience, etc.)

list both times.

• How long was the session? Was this the intended length?

Athlete Evaluation

• How would you describe the attitude of athletes before, during and after the session?

• What made you describe their attitudes this way? What did you notice specifically
about their behavior or level of engagement prior to, during or after the session?

• Overall, how would you rank the overall effort or performance of the athletes
involved in the session? (Please rank 1-10 with 10 being indicative of tremendous
effort, and 1 being indicative of an extremely poor effort.)

• As a coach, what objective and subjective methods do you and/or your staff use to
gauge effort, intent or engagement during a session?

*Note that video feedback can serve as a form of augmented feedback as well. Augmented feedback as a whole provides
feedback that can help facilitate skill erudition or learning. Of course, it is also possible to give both visual and verbal
instruction at the same time, but for the purposes of this question, we are asking you to identify your primary “go-to”
method.
