degree programmes for students who can demonstratethe capacity to benefit from our teaching but also to engage in self- study activities.

Stoke College of Management & IT offers undergraduate, specialist diplomas and post graduate degrees in the business, management, hospitality, IT and computer science fields. It offers a variety of accredited programmes to both UK and international students. Understanding the importance of diversity, the College recruits and retain a multicultural student body and staff.

SCMIT is a new College welcoming its first intake of
students in 2010. You will therefore benefit from
considerable recent investment to give you high quality
facilities and excellent equipment. The College has
several classrooms, all of which have data projectors,
screens and whiteboards and an IT suite with 32
computers. These have been “refurbished to a very
high standard” Accreditation Service for International
Colleges. There is also a student recreation area,
vending machines, a reception area and administration
offices.
In addition to the interactive differentiated teaching
there are the following available where required:
• One to one with your programme tutor
• Sessions with specialist staff e.g. in respect of learning
disabilities
The College is conveniently situated in the same
building as The Basement Café, a thriving café which
will offer discounted prices on food and drinks for our
students. The immediate area has additional facilities
and useful services such as a supermarket and
chemists. The later section on living in Stoke-on-Trent
provides more information on facilities and activities in
the locality.

Living in Stoke on Trent

Being in Stoke-on-Trent is brilliant.Stoke on Trent is the economic capital of north Staffordshire and south Cheshire. When you're not studying you'll find plenty of value for money things to do in this vibrant, historic city. Check out the great nightlife with theatres, clubs, bars, live music, cinemas and lots of places to eat. Visit the purpose built shopping centre with major high street stores or the museums and galleries. Go to a match at our Premiership football stadium, or find out about the heritage that gives us the name of 'The Potteries'.

Just outside of the city you can enjoy the fun and thrills at Alton Towers the International theme park, soak up the music at the famous V Festival at Weston Park or appreciate the lovely gardens and specialist shops at Trentham Gardens.

Stoke-on-Trent is in the centre of the country which means that we're surrounded by stunning scenery giving you the chance to explore the beautiful Peak District or Cannock Chase. Being in the centre also means that it's very easy to reach other major cities. Our rapid rail service reaches Birmingham and Manchester in around 40 minutes and London in around 90 minutes.

You can browse through our prospectus or website and find a course that is right for you. You can either apply directly online from the website or post a downloaded application form to us.
