NOTIFICATION

The School of Information Technology offers CCNA Discovery and CCNA Exploration courses (each
of four modules) framed by the Cisco Inc, USA. Total duration of the course is 3 – 4 months. These
modules are conducted in two phases.
Phase 1 : CCNA 1 & 2 modules ( Duration of 45 – 60 days)
Phase 2 : CCNA 3 & 4 modules ( Duration of 45 – 60 days)
Applications are invited for admission into CCNA Exploration, which starts from 28th February, 2011.

Eligibility:
Candidate completed his/her studies in B.Tech./B.E.(CSE,IT,ECE,EEE) are eligible. The candidates
possessing basic knowledge of digital electronics/communication and computer will have an advantage
during the course of the training. (Note: Written test will be conducted for selection of candidates, if
necessary)

Course Timings:
• Morning Batch: 8:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M.
• Evening Batch: 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
• Every Saturday exams for all batches:10.00AM to 4.00PM

Fee Details:
• Phase 1: ` 6000/- (CCNA 1 & 2 Modules).
• Phase 2: ` 6000/- (CCNA 3 & 4 Modules).
• The fee for Phase 1 and Phase 2 has to be paid before the commencement of the Phases i.e.,
TWO installments.
• Fee to be paid in the form of Demand Draft, in favor of “THE DIRECTOR, SIT, JNTUH”
payable at Hyderabad.

About CCNA Exploration:

The Cisco CCNA Exploration curriculum provides the experience needed to help meet the growing
demand for ICT professionals. The courses help prepare students for entry-level career opportunities,
continuing education, and the globally recognized Cisco CCNA certification. CCNA Exploration
teaches networking based on technology, covering networking concepts using a top-down, theoretical,
and integrated approach – from network applications to the network protocols and services provided to
those applications by the lower layers of the network.
Course Description:
The CCNA Exploration curriculum consists of four courses that offer flexibility in the delivery of the
courses.
S.No. Module Title Description
1 Network Fundamentals Following a top-down approach, the first course introduces
applications and application services very early in the curriculum to
provide a foundation. Advanced technologies (Voice, Video,
Wireless, and Security) are also introduced.
2 Routing Protocols and Routing and switching topics and concepts are grouped to allow for a
Concepts higher level of flexibility in the course delivery. All routing topics are
3 LAN Switching and covered in the Routing Protocols and Concepts course and all
Wireless switching topics are covered in the LAN Switching and Wireless
course. These modules can be taught either in sequence or
simultaneously.
4 Accessing the WAN The last module, Accessing the WAN, thoroughly covers all WAN
technologies. All modules include advanced and challenging labs and
activities that allow students to visualize and gain hands-on-
experience with the application protocols and services introduced in
the course.

Instructions for the candidates who get selected for the course:
• The course fee has to be strictly paid before the course commences in the form of a Demand
Draft drawn in favor of “THE DIRECTOR, SIT, JNTUH” payable at Hyderabad.
• The course is to be completed in the prescribed period and re-registrations will not be
entertained.
• Course Completion certificate will be given after the completion of FOUR modules only.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded in any circumstances.
