Integration Section Lesson 1: Working in Access® – Integrating Data from Excel®
With the database NMI CLAIMS open, click Excel in the Import group on the
External Data tab.
The Get External Data – Excel Spreadsheet dialog box pops up.
Select Import the source data into a new table in the current database.

Ensure that Show Worksheets – Sheet1 is selected in the Import Spreadsheet Wizard
and then click Next >.
Check the First Row Contains Column Headings check box and then click Next >.
Click Next > again since there is no need to modify the fields.

Select the Choose my own primary key radio button and then click Next >.
Type CLAIMANT in the Import to Table: text box and then click Finish.
Click Close on the Get External Data – Excel Spreadsheet dialog box.
Select the Design View and ensure that the table structure is as follows:
