Science is a well-established body of knowledge based upon physical observations of

physical phenomenon occurring in realms as broad and as diverse as physics, chemistry,

biology, mathematics. To assert that scientific theories prove to be mostly inaccurate is
preposterous, given the fact that scientific theories are backed up by hard experimental
and statistical evidence that establish their credibility which in most of the cases have so
far stood the test of the time as will be explained later.

The law of gravity along with other laws of Newtonian or Classical Mechanics are
examples of scientific facts that have been proven true. The discovery of Quantum
Mechanics in the 20th century was to establish that under certain circumstances Classical
or Newtonian Mechanics no longer held true. However, there was no negation or
dismissal of Classical Mechanics as being completely untrue or inaccurate.

Certain scientific theories, however, have yet to be backed up evidence to establish them
as true facts. One example of such a theory is the Theory of Evolution. It is true while
that living being evolve and adapt to their environment and circumstances, there is no
irrefutable evidence to prove that humans evolved from monkeys. Therefore to assert that
science holds answers to each and every unsolved mystery of the universe is also absurd
given the fact that science has well defined scope and limitation beyond which it cannot
exceed.

In a similar manner, science has not yet been able to solve the “hard problem of
consciousness” due to the fact that it cannot observe or define consciousness in the strict
boundaries and paradigms of scientific rigor.

For so called factual information can take a variety of contexts scientific and non-
scientific, one thing is certain; before being completely accepted or rejected such
information must be scrutinized and checked for veracity to the fullest extent possible.
