Welcome to Archbishop Kelly, who will preside at both Masses this weekend as part of his visitation of our Pastoral Area. I know he will find a small (there’s always room for more!!) but vibrant community, faithful to the Lord’s command to proclaim the Good News to those around us. The Archbishop celebrated the 49th anniversary of his ordination to the Priesthood on Friday last, so, as well as a warm welcome, we offer our congratulations and pray that the Lord will continue to guide him in leading the Archdiocese at this time ‘Ad Multos Annos.’ There will be an opportunity to meet the Archbishop in the Parish Centre after 10am Mass on Sunday when refreshments will be served. Welcome also to William Kieran Doyle who will be baptised after Mass on Sunday. “The Christian Community welcomes you with great joy.” Marriage and Family Life ; As part of National Marriage Week, there will be a special service to celebrate marriage and family life at Lowe House, St Helens this Sunday (20th Feb) between 2.30 - 4.30pm. The Archbishop is going to have a very busy day because he is leading that service too. All are welcome. There will be activities for children and young people throughout the afternoon. Emmaus Group meet on Monday Evening at 7pm in the Presbytery. Legion of Mary meet on Wednesday evenings at 8.15pm in the Presbytery. New members welcome. Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes : from 22nd - 29th July 2011. Brochures are available at the back of church for anyone interested. Pilgrimage to Walsingham : There are still places left for the pilgrimage August 17th - 19th, Cost : £102. A non-refundable deposit of £20 is required. Please see Deacon Malcolm or Pam Hughes. Called to a Noble Adventure : The Catholic Youth Ministry Federation are holding a one-day congress for those who work with young people or are interested in starting a parish initiative. This will take place on Saturday 12 March between 10am - 5pm in the Friends Meeting House, Euston, London. During the day, the National Vision for Youth Ministry will be explored.
