INTRODUCTION

We all know that almost all of the works manually were often being implemented
nowadays; it is simply because companies had shifted from manual to computerized
systems. A hotel management system is a computerized system that covers all
concerning hotel management issues, and is capable of doing transactions like
reservation, payment as well as handling information. But systems like this were lacking
in terms of its sales analysis, we have noticed that it’s just the transaction that makes it
fast and easier, it doesn’t show any analysis about its revenue and more concerning
about its sales.

So we have planned to make a hotel management system that is capable of


doing such transaction as well as analyzing its sales revenue through graphical
representation, the information about its monthly revenue will be the input data to
analyze and then show it in the form of graph. The result of this graph will show the
monthly revenue and its percentage of profitability, in this way the manager of the
company would be able to analyze situations why there is an increase/decrease on its
sales revenue as well as factors that could possibly affect the sales rate of the business.
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Many companies were already shifted to a computerized process because it


gives them much easier and less cost work, they just changed their style of business
but they do not know that it doesn’t really help them in some way. They are just
following the trend that surrounds them or let’s just say it “Go with the flow”.

Assuming that a certain hotel company change their way of business, they had
shifted to a computerized form of process, It is Yes that the transactions becomes fast
and easy to manage but is it worth it? It just made their company work easier but it
doesn’t show any relation to improve the profitability of their business.

What we’re trying to say is that, an effective hotel management system can’t just
only made to fasten its transactions but to also helps the manager of the business to
decide what would be the ways he/she will going to use to maximize the profitability of
the business. A system that would help him analyze what would be the ways to improve
its business as well as tracking its sales revenue to recognize variables that affects the
profit of the business. A businessman builds a business because he wants to earn profit
because that’s the main motive of a person to wants to a successful in the industry.

Business analysis in terms of graphical representation that bases its analysis to


sales information is needed to include in a hotel management system. This would help
company to decide what decision to make.
OBJECTIVES

To make a hotel management system that’s not only capable of fastening


business transactions but also analyzes the sales revenue and profitability of the
company. It tracks the sales of the company whether it is earning or losing its business
assets.

To provide a business sales analysis in the form of graphical representation.

Significance of the study

It is important to have this kind of hotel management system because as a


manager of the company it is good to know whether the business is working out or not,
A hotel business would be able to succeed through a correct way of analyzing data, for
example the sales revenue analysis would help the decision maker of the company on
what he’s going to do if he’s losing the profit of the business, as he analyze the reason
why there is an increase and decrease on the business revenue he would think solution
that solves the problem, One of the way was providing hotel promos and etc.

A graphical representation of the business profitability would really help a lot in


terms of earning as well as how the business handles different situation they are facing.

If we won’t be having this kind of system that analyzes the sales of a certain
company it would become hard for them to anticipate problems that may occur on their
business.

Having this kind of hotel management system would be a benefit to a user


because they would be able to solve problems in their business because it has a
capability that show the sales analysis and as a result they would be able to anticipate
factors that would cause the decrease and increase in their profit.
