Encourage Your Encourager—Pt. 2

A godly, loving pastor is a priceless gift to an
individual, a family, and a church. If we are not

become “weary in well doing.” Each church
member should strive to keep his pastor

Arrive to church early and leave late. Get to
church early and don’t seek to be the first one
out the door. Most of us would never think of
being late or even close to late for social
gatherings or business meetings, but we think
nothing of getting to church late every week.
Then, when church is over, hang around and
fellowship. Take time to thank your pastor for
his preaching and talk to others in the church.
Find ways to help him. Is there something that
you can do that would lighten his load? Is there
kindness for him and his wife often.
Be faithful. One of the greatest ways that we
can encourage our pastor is to be faithful. Be
faithful in your walk with God. Be faithful in your
marriage. Be faithful in your service. Be faithful
in your attendance. Seek to be a “good and
faithful servant.”
Be dependable. If you have been given a
responsibility in the work of the ministry, be
dependable. Do not shirk your responsibility or
“drop the ball.” Become a person that can be
counted on to always get the job done.

Hammond, Indiana—a Chicago suburb

The adult men are invited to take some time away from their work schedule to re-ignite
their passion for the things of the Lord. A lineup of powerful preachers has been
assembled for this life-changing week. Workshops are also available throughout the
day. The cost for this spiritual retreat is $225. This will cover conference registration,
transportation, and lodging. Transportation will leave the church early on Monday and
return late Friday evening.
