Offline Application for Monthly Stipend

Procedure:

1. Those who find difficulty in applying online cansend their application through offline mode
with all necessary attachmentto this mail id – ams.bctnpy@gmail.com orsend it through
post to, The Secretary, Bar Council of Tamilnadu And Puducherry High Court
Campus,Chennai – 600104.
Eligibility Criteria:-
2. The applicant shall possess Bachelors degree in Law.
3. He/she should studied the said degree in a Government Law College.
4. The applicant must have enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry.
5. The applicant shall submit an affidavit attested by his/her Senior Advocate every six months
starting that he/she is still in active practice.
6. The applicant shall not exceed 30 years of age on the date of submission of application.
7. The applicant is eligible for stipend of Rs. 3,000/- per month for 2 years only.
8. The applicant shall have an Aadhar Card/ID Proof.
9. The applicant should be a resident of Tamilnadu.
10. Family income of the applicant should be below Rs.2.5 lakhs per annum.
11. Only one member of the family can avail this stipend (“Family” means Husband, Wife and
their children).

Ineligibility Criteria:-
1. The applicants, who have completed three years of practice are not eligible.
2. The applicant possessing a four wheeler in his/her name is not eligible.
3. Non-practicing advocates are not eligible.
(Non-practicing advocate means an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Tamilnadu,
but is not in actual practice of Law and is engaged in some other public or private job,
business contract, etc.,
4. The practicing Advocate, if engaged in other business is not eligible.
