Their Careers: What YPs really need to know to get ahead in 2009
September is Self-Improvement Month
WHO: Ryan Kohnen is a 29-year-old entrepreneur, community leader, and advocate for
young professionals. In 2003, he founded the YoungExecs, an organization for
professionals 35 years and under throughout Texas. Kohnen also co-founded
YPSuccess, an organization dedicated to providing professional development and
career consulting to young professionals. His forthcoming book, Young Professional’s
Guide to Success, offers young professionals real-life stories from over 70 CEOs, top

WHAT: The 76 million members of Generation Y are launching into the work world with

offers these young professionals, or YPs, concrete advice that works for their short
attention spans.

WHEN: Kohnen is available for interviews upon request, beginning in August. His book
is available for review (August 2009, Emerald Book Company).
