JOB PURPOSE:
To develop and implement activism strategies for Amnesty International Indonesia activist
networks which consist of more than 85 local action groups and university chapters. This
role is responsible for acquiring, retaining, as well as mobilise Amnesty activists to support
Amnesty International Indonesia campaign priorities. This is done to enable a progressively
deeper level of engagement and strengthen our campaign impact as well as support
Amnesty Indonesia supporter growth target.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
People that this job manage: This role will manage interns / volunteers and, most likely,
staff at the officer level
Other key relationships: Campaign staff, Research staff, Communication staff, Office and
Finance
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mentor activist leaders to ensure their development as human right defenders.
• Work with other team members to ensure the effective planning and coordination of
organizing activities across Indonesia.
• Work with Amnesty International staff in other sections/national offices as well as
the International Secretariat as necessary.
• Lead and coordinate the work of staff, interns and volunteers in the Community
Organising program.
• Contribute to the development of AII’s policies and procedures as required.
• Report and evaluate AII Community Organising program periodically.
• Represent the team in project meetings as relevant.
