USHLI Shares America’s Grief

As Senator Schumer said yesterday, “today is a day that will forever live
in infamy.” Not since 9/11 when America was attacked by terrorists, or
since 12/7/41 when Pearl Harbor was attacked by a foreign government,
have Americans witnessed a day that will live in infamy.
USHLI joins with President-elect Joe Biden in calling for all Americans
to denounce the insurrection we witnessed in real time yesterday. Biden
said that “a deeply divided country can still come together.” Indeed, it is
imperative for all freedom-loving Americans to come together.
We all watched in disbelief, horror, and sorrow when domestic terrorists
overran Capitol security and forcibly occupied our seat of government.
This was indeed the day that Americans of goodwill cried. But now, it’s
time for America to move on. The nation must see beyond the tears in
its own eyes, summon the wherewithal to regroup, find our way forward,
and keep the American experiment alive.
As we say en el idioma de Dios, ‘no hay mal de que bien no venga.”
