S5. Jonny runs a sports equipment shop. In addition to the cash register, he writes the items
that he has sold in a book immediately after each transaction. His wife does a stock-take
at the end of each day. Johnny counterchecks the reduction in stock against the records
in his book. His wife would then check the amount of stock in the store and call the
suppliers when the levels are low. His two salesmen receive commissions based on the
amount of sales that they make. His accountant uses the receipts from the cash register
and Jonny’s records to compute the commission for the salesmen and prepare the
financial statements. When a product is returned by a customer, the entire process is
done in reverse.

He wants to introduce a new point-of-sale information system, to be purchased from

Intuit QuickBooks.
