El plural de casi todos los sustantivos se forma agregando el sufijo "S" al final de la
palabra:

Excepciones:
• Los sustantivos que terminan en SS, SH, CH, X, se agrega el sufijo "ES":
Dress - Dresses
Box - Boxes
Flash – Flashes
Church - Churches
• La mayoría de las palabras terminadas en O se agrega el sufijo "ES":
Potato - Potatoes Hero - Heroes Volcano – Volcanoes
• Los sustantivos terminados en O precedidos por una vocal se agrega "S":
Bamboo - Bamboos Portfolio - Portfolios Radio – Radios
• Los sustantivos que terminan en Y precedidos por consonante se cambia la Y
por I y se agrega el sufijo "ES":

• Los sustantivos que terminan en F se cambia la por V y se agrega el sufijo
"ES":

• Los sustantivos que terminan en FE se cambia la F por la V y se agrega el
subfijo “ES”:

• Algunos sustantivos forman el plural cambiando las vocales:
Man - Men Foot - Feet Mouse - Mice
• Algunos sustantivos forma el plural con el sufijo "EN":
Child - Children Ox - Oxen
• Algunos sustantivos tienen la misma forma para singular y plural:
Fish Swine Deer Sheep
GENERO
El género de los sustantivos puede clasificarse en:
Masculino/Masculine como ser man, boy, horse, king, unc/e
Femenino/Femenine como ser woman, girl, mare, queen, aunt
Neutro/Neuter para sustantivos que no son masculinos ni femeninos como ser
book, house, pencil, table.
Común/Common para sustantivos que pueden ser ambos masculinos o femeninos
como ser child, friend, teacher, cousin, enemy.
EL SUSTANTIVO
Los sustantivos son los nombres de algo. En Ingles los sustantivos tienen genero y
numero.
