Benefits for this subject:
This is true; as anger stems from Satan. A man came to the
Prophet( )ﷺand asked for some advice. The Prophet ( )ﷺsaid don’t let your anger get the best of you. The man kept asking for advice and he each time he was advised to avoid anger. This advice was given because anger can result in one causing harm to his family, his neighbor, or even to his Muslim brother and so forth without just right. There are times when a man becomes anger and thus divorces his wife, acts hostile towards another and perhaps even strike his Muslim brother. These all can result from the evils of anger, which the Prophet ( )ﷺexplicitly warned against in his words, “Don’t let your anger get the best of you.”
Hence, when a Muslim becomes angry, what should he do to repel
it? The remedy to control it has been mentioned in another hadith as well, when he( )ﷺsaid that if one is standing then he should sit ;and if he’s sitting then he should recline. This would cause the anger to subside, or at least cool off . Moreover, along with that he could also say. ” I seek refuge in the accursed Satan. Consequently, following these steps won’t allow you to do something which you’ll later regret due to your anger. [i] Translated by
