Communication interface
1.2 Ink Supply PCB Interface of
vacuum gauge
with the environment PCB
Power
1. The communication interface is connected
to the environment PCB. Pay attention to the
position of the environment PCB; otherwise,
the system may not be able to provide normal
ink supply.
1.Power off the system and plug out the connector of he vacuum gauge on the ink supply PCB
and disconnect the carriage motor.
5.Supply inks in the sequence of K, C, M and Y. Note whether inks are supplied correctly and
discharged in the correct pipes.
6.Power off the printer and plug in the connector of the vacuum gauge.
7.Power on the printer and observe whether reversed suction and ink leakage from printheads
occur. If all work normally, connect the carriage motor and start the printer for other
operations.
Chapter One Negative Pressure System
1.6 Common Problems
1.Disorder of the negative pressure system: check the vacuum gauge setting and interface
connections.
2. The negative gauge displays positive pressure values: check the LED indicator lamp beside
the waste ink tank sensor interface ,make sure whether waste ink exists in the waste ink tank.
3. Values displayed on the negative pressure gauge glitter continuously: check whether air leakage
occurs in the pipes, air tank and ink tanks.
4.Printhead ink leakage: the negative pressure is too low.

Chapter Five Setting of Negative Pressure
Gauge (SMC ZSE30A)
)
This digital pressure switch is designed for inspecting and controlling vacuum with the range from 0
to 101 KPa.
)Calibration of the reference pressure of the gauge
1)
The reference pressure calibration of the gauge is to set one standard atmospheric pressure as the
reference zero point and has been completed before delivery. It does not need to be calibrated during
normal operation.
When the reference pressure is changed due to unexpected factors, it should be calibrated;
otherwise deviation will occur between the displayed pressure and the actual pressure and affect the
normal use of the gauge.
The calibration method is as follows:
1. Remove the air tube of the pressure gauge to let the air tube expose to the free air.
2. Power on the pressure gauge. The pressure gauge will display pressure values.
3. Press and hold ▲ and ▼ for over two seconds. The pressure gauge displays “0”.
The reference pressure calibration is complete.

Chapter Six Software Setting
6.1 Installation of LyPrint Driver
Connect the USB cable between PC and the main board. The PC prompts you to install the driver
for the new found hardware. The CyUsb_UV Drive driver is under CyUsb_UV Drive. Select the
folder to install the driver. Usually, you are prompted to install the driver twice. Choose to install the
driver automatically for the second installation. After the installation of the driver, we power on the
machine and the system begins self-check and then the LyPrint software prompts “Ready”.
2. Feather setting
Feather mode:you can select the feather mode from this option. If the step of the printer is not so
accurate, the feather mode can improve the printing quality.
Feathered lines:It is used to set the number of lines to be feathered.
Chapter Six Software Setting
3. Purge setting
Flashjet frequency: It is used to set the jet times of printheads every second when the printer
performs flashjet operations.
Flashjet interval: During printing, after the printer works for specific circles, the carriage goes to
the flashjet position at the right side of the printer to perform flashjet operations. These circles are the
flashjet interval. Correct setting of the option can effectively prevent printhead blocking.
Purge frequency (for printers supporting the function only): During automatic cleaning,
after the carriage goes to the cleaning position at the left side of the printer, the printer automatically
starts the cleaner connected to the printer. The carriage moves back and forth above the cleaner for
several times. The times that the carriage moves back and forth above the cleaner is the clean
frequency.
Purge interval (for printers supporting the function only): During printing, after the
printer works for specific circles, the carriage goes to the clean position at the left side of the printer
to perform cleaning operations. The printer continues to print after cleaning. These circles are the
cleaning interval. Correct setting of the option can effectively prevent printhead blocking.
4.Advanced
Color strip layout:select the color strip printing position from the list.
Color strip width: The width of printed color strips at two sides of an image.
Vertical space and Horizontal space: If multiple copies need to be printed, this option can be
used to set the distance between two images.
Max. preview rows:Number of lines to be displayed during prt image preview.
Head temperature setting:set the temperature of printheads.
Present head temperature setting:display the current temperature of printheads.
(to be continued)
)
Chapter Six Software Setting
Media locaion: the position at the right end of the printing media from the printing origin.
Media width: the width of the printing media.
Auto MediaCheck (for printers supporting this function only): automatically detect the media
position and width and fill the parameters into relevant fields.
Aslant Media-Check (for printers supporting this function only): If this option is checked, if the
image is found wider than the media during printing, the printing is disabled.
5. Origin Setting
Origin type: If Carriage Origin is selected, the image is printed from the coordinate of the origin.
Origin Location: set the origin position for printing images. After setting, the printer will print
images from the position. (A minimum value is set for the origin location. If a set value is smaller
than the minimum value, the system will give prompt.)
Carriage Orient: automatically obtain the current position of the carriage and set it as the origin for
future image printing.
