This folder contains DataStudio, a tool for data collection

and analysis.

DataStudio Application
The DataStudio application can be used to collect data
directly from PASCO ScienceWorkshop interfaces. It can
also be used to enter data using the keyboard.
Additionally, you can enter mathematical equations for
graphing and analysis. Most importantly, you can combine
all three of these data types into rich activities using
the multimedia Workbook. DataStudio will automatically
recognize and configure itself for your interface when
the program is started. For the simplest operation, make
sure your interface is correctly connected to the computer
and that the power is on before starting DataStudio.
(Please refer to the documentation that came with your
interface for detailed instructions on connecting your
interface.) You can start DataStudio by double-clicking
the program icon.

Evaluation/Student Home Use Note:

If you are using this software without an interface for
evaluation purposes or as a student at home, DataStudio
will report that no interface is found when it starts.
You may simply choose "Pick Interface" to continue
working. When asked which type of interface to use for
experiment setup purposes, choose "SW 750" to have the
broadest range of options available in the software.
If you know you will be using a particular interface
model at a later time, choose that interface. The
selected interface will be shown in the DataStudio
Experiment Setup Window.

License Agreement
The file "License Agreement" contains the text that you
reviewed and agreed to prior to installing DataStudio. It
describes how you may or may not legally use and distribute
this software. It is included in the installation for your
reference.

Help Folder
This folder contains files for DataStudio�s online help.
You can access help in DataStudio from the "Help" menu,
or by pressing the help key. DataStudio�s online help
is a comprehensive, searchable reference to all
DataStudio features.

Options Folder
This folder contains several DataStudio options files. Each
file customizes the available features of DataStudio for a
specific purpose. Some files are installed when you
install DataStudio. You can create additional options sets
by choosing "Options->Edit" from the "File" menu.

Plugins Folder
This folder contains several files that add interface,
sensor, and display features to DataStudio.
