Online Examination Guidelines for Students

Here are the guidelines for the First Quarter Online Examination:
1. Examination Date: September 16-18, 2020.
2. Canvas LMS will be used as the official examination platform.
3. On specific time schedule:
a. Your Adviser will provide you with the details of the scheduled subjects to be
taken for each day.
b. Each subject is given one (1) hour to take the examination except for HMA 111
(Gen. Mathematics) HSB 121 (Gen. Biology 1 ), HSH 121 (Gen. Chemistry 2),HPY
121 -(Gen. Physics 1) HBA 121 (Fundamentals of Accounting, Business, and
Management), and HBF 121 (Business Finance) with one (1) hour and 30
minutes.
c. You are given 30-minute break after each subject. (Refer to the official exam
schedule.)
d. The time allotted for each subject will be strictly followed since the exam will
automatically lock as scheduled. Hence, you should log in five (5) or ten (10)
minutes earlier and wait until the exam starts.
4. On the use of Canvas LMS:
a. Proceed to your scheduled Courses in Canvas.
b. Access your Modules.
c. Select First Quarter Examination subject.
d. During the Exam:
i. Read the instructions carefully.
ii. You can only view one (1) item at a time.
iii. All items are systematically shuffled. Therefore, the items’ sequence is
different for each student.
iv. Once you answered the question click “NEXT”. You can no longer change
your answer once you moved to the next item.
v. NEVER click “Submit Quiz” if NOT FINISHED yet with the last item.
Clicking the SUBMIT button is a ONE-TIME ACTION. ONCE YOU HAVE
SUBMITTED, the examination is FINISHED and your SCORE is recorded.
This means you cannot re-open the examination to continue answering.
vi. Stay on your Canvas Window only. Any movement/changes in your
Window, use of any gadget, and interruptions on the internet connection
will register in your exam log which can be viewed by your subject
teacher.
vii. Be mindful of the time. Make sure to allot enough time in answering each
item. Remember to focus on answering the questions only to save time.
5. Make sure that the gadget you will use for the exam is fully charged or backed up with a
charger.
6. You should have reviewed your lessons prior to your examination days.
7. Keep away your textbook, notes, and other gadgets during the exam. You only need
your one gadget for the exam.
8. For subjects that require pen and paper for computation, seek the advice of your
subject teacher.
9. Have your meals before taking the exam. You can also take your snacks during break
time.
10. BE HONEST in taking the exam.
