e-COMMERCE SITE FOR BOOK STORE

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project is based upon implementation of e-
commerce techniques for a Book Store.The
product should allow users to view various
categories of books,select books in particular
category, add to their cart and place order for
the selected book(s).The will also be a admin
panel through which the category,books,
payment etc will be managed through the back-
end by the Web Administrator of the website.
PROJECT MODULES
PHASE-1

Technical Review of the Project


This phase consist of the technical review of the
project to be developed so that the project can
be completed successfully with minimum or no
risks. This phase consist of collecting all the
requirements of the client and possible views for
the end product.
PHASE -2
Design and Development of the Website
This phase will consist of the design of the
website which would cover all the design
strategies, feedback and other necessary
changes.Further,on the confirmation of design
the development of the website in HTML-CSS
starts and the static pages are published for
confirmation of layout.
PHASE 3
ADMIN PANEL
This phase consist of the Development of a
customized Admin Panel through which the Web
Administrator can manage :

• Website

• Content

• Products

• Categories

• Articles

• Pricing

• Approve or Delete Requests

• Manage Users

• Manage Payment

• Manage Payment Gateway

• Upload different images ,files etc

PHASE 4
Dynamic Pages development
This phase consist of the development of all
dynamic features of the site such as:

• Creating Logins,Registration of Guests/Users

• Viewing the Categories and Books

• Generating User details


• Generating Books details ,prices etc.

PHASE 5
Shopping Cart Implementation
This phase consist of implementation of shopping
cart to the website.Various features such as:

• Add to Cart

• Shop through the Website

• Create own Cart

• Place order

• Generate Invoice(onsite invoice,pdf etc).

PHASE 6
Payment Method and Gateway Implementation
This phase consist of different payment
gateways and methods to purchase the item and
place order.The payment method would basically
consist of 4 steps
1.Login/Email Login
2.Shipping Address
3.Order Summary
4.Payment Options
1.Login/Email Login:Guests or users have to login
to continue for payment or can verify their email
address.
2.Shipping Address:Guests or Users have to
provide shipping address so that products can be
shipped.Once done a confirmation email or SMS
will be sent and they will asked to confirm their
phone number or email etc.
3.Order Summary:Guests or Users will be
provided an order summary consisting of their
order, shipping details and invoice.
4.Payment Options:
Generally the Payment Options are:

• Cash on Delivery

• Net Banking

• Credit Card

• Debit Card

• Cheque/dd

• e-Gift Voucher
• Paypal.
We can integrate all of the options or some
depending upon client’s requirement.

PHASE 7
Final Testing and Deployment of the website
This phase consist of final testing and debugging
process wherever required. After the successful
test result we will deploy the same on the server
so that users can use the site.
