Hafa Adai Families,

I hope everyone is doing relatively well. Please be informed of the following:

 Re-opening of schools for face to face instruction final determination will be made by the
board around December 15, 2020. Re-opening plans are in place and will be presented to
all stakeholders. Parents have the option to submit a Model of Selection form to change
from student’s current model to face to face instruction. At this time we are not
accommodating changing between online and hard copy models; this if anything, can be
conducted later. The goal is to obtain the number of students should school open will be
attending face to face instruction. Model of Selection forms have been distributed and is
ongoing up to December 18, 2020. No forms will be accepted after the 18th.
 Device applications for laptop is ongoing. Forms were already distributed. Parents can
submit forms via email to teachers, htes@gdoe.net, drop off to the campus via a labeled
box outside the main office. Office operations are limited to Monday to Fridays from
8am to 12pm and then by appointments thereafter.
 Last day for grab and go meals is today December 11, 2020. Meal distribution will
resume on December 31, 2020.
 Hard Copy learning packet distribution’s last day is today December 11, 2020. Packet
distribution will resume on Friday, January 8, 2021. Christmas break begins on
December 21, 2020 to January 1, 2021. Second quarter ends on January 7, 2021.
Therefore from January 4 to January 7, teachers may not conduct class sessions as this
will be the period to ensure students have completed all assignments and assessments for
the quarter in order to finalize report card grades. Parents can drop off any work that
needs to be submitted for hard copy students on December 17, 2020 8:00 am to 10:00 am
at the school.
 If school re-opens in January, a Parent/Student orientation will be held. More
information on this will be forthcoming.

Families,

Thank-You for being very supportive and cooperative with the changes that have been
occurring in instructional schedules. Truman will be participating in a Virtual Accreditation
Visit on December 15 and December 16. Teachers have been making changes to
accommodate the visit’s schedule as well as in preparation of.

Thank- you to
parents who provided permission to share pictures and video clips to our visiting team
members.

There will student interviews and online google meet observations happening during the visit
dates. Thank-you to the students and parents who will be participating in the student
interviews.

All parents are invited to attend the final session of our school’s accreditation visit on

If possible, we are hoping that all parents can join this session. Teachers will remind the
families of this.

I want to thank all Truman faculty, staff, students, families, and community members for
all the work that took place and is ongoing to accomplish this Initial Self-Study of the
accrediting process. This is critical as we strive to be an educational institution to provide
the best we can for our students. No matter what the outcome is, we have experienced the
evaluation of our school in order to continue to improve teaching and learning and that
cannot be described in just having a certificate.
