Students on their own and in the long run will be able to

compose and deliver a persuasive speech showing
appreciation for the shared heritage of people with
diverse background.

The government leaders in the Municipality of Lilo-an, one of the popular areas in your region, is
hosting a Tourism Forum for a day. However, it has been found out that some of the locals are
against the promotion of tourism in their area because they believe in its adverse effects to the people
and the environment in the long run. As a tourism advocate, you are tasked to find out why these
people feel this way and you have to ensure that they be eventually convinced with the holding of this
forum. After gathering the reasons why people react like that, you need to make an advocacy
campaign thru the use of vlog presenting the benefits the community may get out of this tourism
forum. You need to present your advocacy to the community and get its approval , and once it is
done, it is uploaded to the official local website. Your advocacy campaign will be evaluated through its
credibility, language, persuasion, emphasis, speech techniques, and nonverbal cues.
