What Is Infrastructure?

 
Infrastructure is the term for the basic physical systems of a business or nation—transportation,
communication, sewage, water, and electric systems are all examples of infrastructure.

Infrastructure Walk
We selected 500m distance from Ruwanwella Police station to Ruwanwella Central collage. In
our walk we noticed the infrastructure that mention below
1.  Rope Bridge
This is the longest( 550ft )  rope bridge in Sri Lanka that build in 2007. the nearest reason to
build this is to provide safe passage to the villagers who rowed in this river.

2. Playground
The playground was reconstructed in 2015. the area of this ground 2 acres. this includes a
volleyball court, basketball court and cricket pitch

3. Public Fair
The fair constructed in 2014 but it’s not nationalized yet.it is a week construction.

3. Water Tank
Water tank is a good construction in the area that we selected.it facilitate huge area

4. Clock Tower
5. Police Station
6.  Co-operation Building
7. Pradeshiya Sabha Building

8. Filling Station
There is no roof for the building  that causes many problems for the customers

9. Centennial dendro park

Infrastructure problems in the area we selected

1.City's drain system must be developed. There are many water pits in the road as well. The
road is cracked in many places. Carpet should be reconstructed.

2. The new building of the fair is weak. Merchants do not like to come to the new building
because it is deadly dangerous.

3. The Playground has no drain system. because of this matter sports cannot be held in rainy
conditions.

4. Some of the metal plates ruined in the rope bridge.it is very dangerous to the passengers.it
should be repaired immediately.

5. Technology is not used effectively to build the infrastructure in the city.

 
Conclusion
According to us, we have identified
the issues that mentioned above.
so we recommend to solve the
problems immediately by providing
provisions and funds through
divisional secretariat office.
As well as we suggest a town
elaboration council to make this
city beautiful and clean. And the
technology must be used more
than it uses currently. Because
technology can reduce the cost of
supplying infrastructure.
