MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME

TO FILE COUNTER-AFFIDAVIT

The Respondent, CHRISTIAN D. PALENCIA, unto this Honorable City Prosecutor,

most respectfully prays that he be granted an extension of fifteen (15) days from 28 May 2020,
his last day to file his counter-affidavit and those of his witnesses having received the subpoena
together with a copy of the Complaint-Affidavit on 19 May 2020 on the following grounds:
1. He is still looking for a counsel of his own choice to assist him in the above-entitled case,
considering that all or if not some of the law offices are closed due to Coronavirus
Disease or Covid-19 pandemic. So it would be difficult for him to obtain the legal
services of a lawyer.

This motion is not intended to delay the proceedings of the case.

PRAYER
 WHEREFORE, Respondent most respectfully prays of this Honorable City
Prosecutor of Victorias, that he be given an additional period of fifteen (15) days from 28
May 2020 within which to submit his counter-affidavit and other documentary evidence.
