When will you be doing what Roon and Audirvana is with MQA ? Audirvana's MQA Core
decoder "enables the first origami 'unfold' and also authenticates the file using a blue or
green light to confirm that the sound is identical to that of the source material." The MQA
ME...YOU and THEM EH Core decoder's initial file "unfold" is claimed to recover all direct music-related information
and make it available for either analog or digital output at 88.2 or 96kHz. Thus, even without
an MQA-enabled DAC, listeners can expect to hear enhanced sound. From Roon....MQA
support is among our highly anticipated (and hotly debated) new features. We weren’t the
first to implement MQA core decoding in software, but we can certainly claim a number of
“firsts” now that we have! In addition to what you’d expect from an MQA source – detecting
an MQA-capable DAC over USB and streaming to it appropriately – Roon offers some unique
ways for anyone to experience MQA content.

Posts: 5747 I'd recommend doing a search of the forums for MQA if I were you as this subject has been
discussed extensively over the last few years. Or this might be easier with finding the
answers you seek: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=jriver+mqa
TL;DR: JRiver has said multiple times that they have no plans for MQA. But it's also worth
pointing out that you can already passthrough MQA through MC as long as you don't use any
DSP whatsoever and have volume set to 100%.

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from Viagra and other sources of sketchy

Until there is a free or preferably open-source decoder that they can easily integrate, don't
expect JRiver to support MQA playback.

We won't add MQA even if it's free and easy. It is a step backward for encoding formats.
