Art is all around us. From the depressing songs of Lana Del Rey to the lively upbeat
songs of Taylor Swift. From the unfathomable paintings of kindergartens to the impressive
paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci. From the deepest swimming pool in the world to the highest
building established today. From the top-grossing Hollywood films to the most intimate movie
inside your head. However, the way we interpret to an art is not the same with one another.
People might find it either beautiful or not, it is still an art. Everything that you can sense in an
art is not always the same to the artist. In Philippines, we wear our slippers to protect us from
pain, but your mother might have used slippers in a different way to hit you when she gets mad
at you. It’s the same with an artist, his art piece and his audience. Sometimes the way we
perceived to every art is not always what you’re thinking. If you want to know the true meaning
of the art you are interested in, you might have to ask the artist first before you can assume its
story. However, some artists let people judge or give meaning to their art pieces to have
another perspective or they just want it to be a mystery.
You might have probably heard about an inspiring adage of Albert Einstein, “the true
sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.” In which Einstein himself would have not
discovered inventions if it were not for his imagination. Imagination of some people might have
wasted because of their environment. The environment might have told them to do what
others do instead of letting the poor person do what they love. Some people make the most
beautiful and creative stories and they tend to replace words that gives his or her story a
desirable taste for people. In movies, writers or directors have their own budget and time
allotted so they tend to remove some parts of a story book which made the fans of a certain
book feel a lot of emotions. Some type of movie you have across might have significantly gave
an impact to your perspective in life. Unfortunately, the power of imagination gave us
everything that we tend to forget the essence of it. People might have prefer to photoshop the
flaws of the models and make money from them through advertising by showing how their
products “fixed” what’s supposed naturally on them. That’s the depressing part of art. It can be
manipulated in contrast of what is natural.
Expressing of one’s art has been difficult for others. The artist might get a negative
feedback and still continues to work on with his or her craft but for some they tend to give up
immediately. Art is supposed to be shown. Sometimes people get to the lowest in life and write
the most beautiful songs or poems. You cannot really tell the way the artist want or when their
creativity emerges. Even some people with disabilities have incredible talents that withstand
normal people. People who makes living out from their art crafts are blessed. People wished to
be like that they forget that they are different and unique. You might have not found your
talent yet and it is just waiting for you to take action. People who have so many opportunities
sometimes end with nothing. It is preferable to work one craft at a time. Sometimes parents
tend to force their children to play sports or attend piano lessons probably because when they
get older enough they have something to spend time on instead lying around and doing
unproductive things. Some of the children might developed their crafts and unknowingly they
can express their thoughts when they do such a thing. It is not weird to be talentless. You are
also an art. Even Mona Lisa has no eyebrows and still called beautiful, how much more if you
start appreciating yourself.
You might have not read this part anymore because it is the last part of the essay but as
I type these words on my laptop we realized something. After all of our years of existence I
have always believed that I should just be happy and be contented on what we have. However,
through this experience, by writing this essay, we can do more. We should not stop being
creative. If people ever stop being creative, the world would not cease to exist or we cease to
exist. Art has been a tool for us to survive. We must continue to make the world creative to
make it last.
