POSITION: INVENTORY OFFICER

1.0 JOB SUMMARY

1.1 The inventory officer is responsible for preparing the purchase orders,
receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out
the supplies from the stock.
1.2 Involved in preparing the inventories, maintaining the stock records, using
computerized systems for entering the records and is accountable for
checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders.

3.0 SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fixed Assets Inventory:

3.1 Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the
recordation of fixed assets.
3.2 Assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
3.3 Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
3.4 Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
3.5 Conduct periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets.
3.6 Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated
depreciation.

Production Inventory
3.7 Perform physical count of inventory and perform reconciliation with actual
available stock.
3.8 Monitor the movement of supplies, goods and equipment at the plant.
3.9 Update inventory records with new information on a constant basis.
3.10 Create and maintain inventory management records on a consistent basis.
3.11 Investigate inventory errors and perform corrective measures.
3.12 Maintain inventory levels and sound alerts on low inventories.

5.0 JOB SPECIFICATIONS

5.1 EDUCATION: Graduate of BS Accountancy or any related course

5.2 WORK EXPERIENCE: With at least 1 year related experience
5.3 SKILLS: Organized, high accuracy and attention to detail
