D-9 chart

D-9 chart is one of the important divisional charts. And I strongly believe and found that divisional
charts and houses/bhava in it have meanings.

As D-9 chart is specifically seen for spouse/marriage/luck. But this chart shows the inner results of
planet, and is more fine-tuned chart, i.e. whatever is promised in D-1 that has to be promised in D-9
for its actual fructification.

Each house in D-9 is very similar to D-1, but they have some specific meaning also. I am explaining in
following points:

1. Similar meaning as D-1, but this 1st house/lord also shows the desire of marriage, if afflicted
by natural malefic then one may not have enough desire to get married or he may face
problems in getting married.

2. Shows longevity of spouse/partners. Finances after marriage, speech or verbal things with
partners/spouse.

3. Shows father-in law, efforts in married life, luck of spouse, short traveling.

4. Natives domestic peace of marriage should be seen from this house. This also shows home or
house after marriage.

5. Gains from marriage, children, desire of spouse, elder siblings of spouse, romance in marriage
life, but 4th house should be seen also.

6. Disputes, disharmony of married life. Divorce, if connect to 9th house also.

7. Shows spouse, physical relations in married life, but should seen in accordance with 8th and
12th house also.

8. It is mangalya sthan. It should not be afflicted for better married life. Shows in-laws, speech of
spouse.

9. Shows younger siblings of spouse, efforts of her/him. Natives own luck after marriage, religion
after marriage, this shows seen afflicted when one’s marries in different religion.

10. Spouse domestic peace after marriage, status etc after marriage, mother-in law.

11. Children of spouse, desires after in married life, education or intellect level of spouse.

12. Bed pleasures, expenses after marriage, diseases of spouse, problems spouse facing in
married life.

Let’s see some examples:

Amitabh Bachchan

This is D-9 chart of actor Amitabh, we know that his

spouse is actress, and also a politician. Now, see
this only from D-9. Here from 7th house, 3rd lord is
in 5th house, indicating artistic abilities of her. 2nd
presence of Ketu-Moon in 10th house, and 10th
lord in 3rd, Moon is 4th lord of parliament, moon
is royal. So politics is clear. Also, Amitabh was
active politician is clear visible with 10th Rahu from
lagna.
Former Prime Minister of India, Late Rajiv Gandhi

We can clearly see Ketu in the 7th house, showing his

Italian spouse. Her surname is Gandhi. So change
surname, take a look 3rd house, which is 9th from 7th
house. It is in 8th house showing such change.
Presence of Sun in 10th house made Rajiv PM. But if
we see from 7th then it’s in 4th house. She lives in
royal house, played secretly major role in govt. with
Manmohan Singh, because dispositer of sun is in 8th
house. Also, see 10th house from 7th, lord is in 12th
house from 7th. Her career is in foreign country.

Person A

See this chart. 5th and 7th lord are in mutual aspect,
he has love marriage. 9th and 8th house having
exchange, spouse belongs to diff. religion. They having
some tension in married life, Mars is in the 4th house,
but saved because 4th lord is exalted and house having
aspect of mercury, 5th lord. Romance and child slows
down the fire. Also 10th house in subh-karatri. so
spouse is not feeling that much problem than native.
Now, his own career is very in-stable. 10th lord in 8th
house, 10th house is aspected by Mars, 12th lord and
Mercury is 5th lord in 10th house, 5th is 8th from 10th
house. He lives in foreign with family, 5th lord in 12th
house.
Person B

This is a chart of native having very disturbed married

life, they are on verge of divorce.
See 4th house, aspected by Mercury(Is bad because
with malefic and Functional malefic, and aspected by
malefic) Mars is present in 4th house. Divorce, 6th
lord aspected by 9th lord. Her spouse is alcoholic,
Saturn in Scorpio sign and dispositer is again in
watery sign. There are no having factors. Only Venus
aspecting 7th house is saving, which actually not
clearing the divorce case. She is house wife,10th lord
in 8th and 10th house aspected by 8th lord.
