10 THEORY
Blow molding, also known as blow forming, is a manufacturing process
by which hollow plastic parts are formed. It is a process used to produce
hollow objects from thermoplastic.
The blow molding process begins with melting down the plastic and
forming it into a parison or preform. The parison is a tube-like piece of
plastic with a hole in one end in which compressed air can pass through.
The basic process has two fundamental phases. First, a preform (or
parison) of hot plastic resin in a somewhat tubular shape is created.
Second, a pressurized gas, usually air, is used to expand the hot preform
and press it against a mold cavity. The pressure is held until the plastic
cools. This action identifies another common feature of blow molded
articles. Part dimensional detail is better controlled on the outside than on
the inside, where material wall thickness can alter the internal shape.
Once the plastic has cooled and hardened the mold opens up and the part
is ejected.

20 OBJECTIVES

1. To study about blow molding

2. To study about the process of blow molding

10 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1. Wear the safety boots

2. Know the flow of the process
3. Used an equipments in the good condition only
4. Put back the equipments in the right place

10 EQUIPMENTS
hammer bottle

jigsaw kikir

goggle Plaster of paris

chisel nail

Wood cutter
20 EXPERIMENT PROCEDURES

STEP PICTURE
1. The wood was cut to
make the mould

2. The wood has been cut

into 3

3. The wood has been affix

into each other.

4. The plaster of paris has

been made as a liquid

5. The bottle is placed in the

mould. And the plaster of
paris has been fixed the
mould
6. The process has been
complete.

10 DISCUSSIONS
1. The process to make mould is need more attention. The wood
must be in accurate measure. To make sure the mould is
perfectly fit together.

10 CONCLUSIONS
To get a perfect blow molding then we must know the flow of
the process to make the mold. The mold must be measure before
it has been to cut. Make sure we used the right equipment to
make the wood look nice after has been cut. After that nail the
mold. At the end of the process we can get a beautiful mold. The
plaster of paris is need to be make as liquid. Stir it slowly. Do
not put much water because it can ruined the plaster of paris
