1. Identify the problem - Understand the situation and clarify the specific problem
2. Generate Ideas – Think of ideas that might solve the problem.
3. Evaluate ideas – Figure out which ideas are ones to try and which ones to leave behind.
4. Decide on a solution and try it – pick an idea and give it a try
5. Check in- After trying to solve, check in to see if it worked. If it didn’t, go back and pick another
solution and try again.

Example situation: Ana was a plant lover. She had a cactus given to her as a birthday gift
by her Aunt Lucy. She placed it inside her bedroom and she loved it so much. However,
after two days, the cactus looked dying. Its color began to turn yellow and that made Ana
very sad. She called her friend Lily and asked for help. If you were Lily, what would you do
to save the plant?

Ana has to expose the plant under the sun to gain energy.

She has to change the soil used in the pot.
Ana just forgot to water the plant for one day. So water is not a problem.
The soil has a fertilizer in it. So there is no need to change.

take the stinking smell any longer. There are even more flies in their areas because of it
that is why they decied to complain about it. And until now, they are waiting for the action
