corruption may be familiar to we hear, even in our country Indonesia it is ingrained.

In
Indonesia itself has been a lot of corruption cases that occurred, ranging from government
officials even to the community. This is very detrimental, since corruption is the act of stealing
people's urban and the right to their justice or in the broad sense of corruption is an act of abuse
of office for personal action. Corruption smells rotten and is an act of inhumanity. Actions that
bring our country to poverty.

There are several causes of corruption among others as follows

1. Nature of Human Obsession
The possibility of people doing corruption is not because people are poor or not enough
income. Chances are that the person is already rich enough, but still have a great desire
to enrich themselves. The element of the cause of corruption in such an offender comes
from within itself, that is greed and greed.
2. Moral Less Strong
A morally inept man tends to be tempted to corrupt. The temptation may come from a
superior, a friend of rank, subordinate, or other party who gives an opportunity for it.
3. The level of wages and salaries of workers in the public sector
Earnings of an employee of a job should meet the needs of a reasonable life. If that does
not happen then someone will try to fulfill it in various ways. But if efforts are made
difficult to obtain, these circumstances will provide great opportunities for corruption,
be it time, energy, and mind corruption in the sense that all the outpourings of
opportunity are for off-the-job purposes.
4. Urgent Living Needs
In the life span there is the possibility of someone experiencing a situation of economic
urgency. The urgency opens up space for someone to take a shortcut of them by
corruption.
5. Consumtive Lifestyle
Life in big cities often encourages a consumptive lifestyle. Consumtive behavior of this
kind when not balanced with adequate income will open a person's chances to perform
various actions to fulfill his needs. One possibility of that action is with corruption.
6. Lazy or Not Want to Work
Some people want to get results from a job without getting out of perspiration aka lazy
to work. This kind of nature will potentially perform any action in easy and quick ways,
such as corruption.
7. Not Applying the teachings of Religion
Indonesia is known as a religious nation that will certainly prohibit acts of corruption in
any form. The reality in the field shows when corruption is still flourishing in the
community. This paradoxical situation indicates that religious teachings are less applied
in life.
Corruption is certainly done for various reasons. Every corruptor has his or her own
reasons when it comes to the question of why they are corrupt. but in general there are some
similarities. The similarities are then summarized as:
 Unsatisfactory economic conditions, including a less than satisfactory salary.
 Lack of human resources with a high degree of professionalism and integrity
 Weak leadership in an organization or structure so that supervision of subordinates
becomes weak.
 Lack of firm legal action. Sanctions and rules that do not firmly make corruptors will not
feel deterred in doing the same actions, namely corruption.
 Lack of freedom of expression in Indonesia. Freedom of opinion in Indonesia is still
curbed by many parties.
 Lack of transparency in Indonesian law. This transparency includes also the economic
condition of officials whose origins are unclear.
 People who do not participate in the eradication of corruption. Indonesians are also
poorly educated, so easily lied and not even interested in eradicating corruption.
 Lack of seminar or socialization about the negative impact of corruption and lack of
social control in eradicating corruption.
