Task Organization:
Duty PLT: Quarry

1. SITUATION

a. Enemy Forces. Threat level for terrorist activity is orange (high) for military
personnel. Increase situational awareness at all times. Report any suspicious
activity while at the training site to the appropriate chain of command. Be diligent
about personal safety and ensure that all equipment is properly safe guarded.
b. Friendly Forces. 277th Engr CO.
c. Attachments and Detachments. Company APFT Personnel Assignments, Risk
assessment, Training Schedule.
d. Assumptions. None.

2. MISSION. 277th Engr Co conducts and grades the APFT on 13-14 Oct, 2007.

3. EXECUTION

Intent: A soldier’s physical fitness level is paramount to survival in a combat


environment. Charlie Company personnel will conduct and grade the record APFT
for BN personnel. The APFT will be conducted to Army Standard to ensure every
BN soldier receives far and impartial grading. The primary goal is 100% first time
record pass for all soldiers taking the APFT. The second is to ensure the record
APFT is conducted with the utmost efficiency, professionalism, and to Army
standard.

a. Concept of Operations.

PHASE I: 277thEngr Co move form the parking lot at Camp Bullis to


Camp Bullis APFT track:

(1) ADVON will ensure APFT track is prepped in order to conduct Co record
APFT under the direction of SSG Barrospalenzuela. ADVON identified on
APFT Personnel Assignments. Set up complete at 0630.

PHASE II

(2) All soldiers arrive at Camp Bullis Bldg. 5118 at 0600. All movement will
take place by military vehicles to the APFT track.

PHASE III: APFT Commences

(2) APFT NCOIC (SSG Estrada) will present APFT briefing, instruction, and
orientation.

(3) Companies will move to the height/weigh in station in the following order:

Maint.
1st PLT
2ND PLT
HQS

(4) Each Plt SGT will ensure their soldiers have a DA705 (APFT Grading Card).

(5) Soldiers needing the body fat tape test will be directed to the appropriate tape
test area with either DA5500 (Male) or DA5501 (Female): Male or Female
Latrine.

(6) At the conclusion of the weigh-in, the APFT, IAW FM21-20, will commence
starting with the first event (push up) after the appropriate briefing. The APFT
events will take place in the following locations:

Camp Bullis APFT track: push up, sit up


Cmap Bullis is one mile out and one mile back: run

(7) Each soldier will have a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 20


minutes of rest per event

(8) Soldiers who attempt to dispute the methods of a particular grader are to be
directed to the event supervisor, who will then direct the soldier to the APFT
OIC/NCOIC.

(9) At the conclusion of the final event all soldiers will be released back to their
respective companies. Select Charlie soldiers will take all DA705’s to a
determined location for completion and roll up.

(10) Any Soldier that fails to meet standard outlined in FM 21-20 or AR 600-9
will be flagged and must be counseled by the chain of command.

(11) Soldiers on profile must have approved documentation of profile status.


Soldiers on profile will take alternate APFT, if required and as indicated on the
profile. The date of the profile must 90 days or older from the 14 April in order
for them to take the alternate APFT. Commanders must provide APFT
NCOIC/OIC the list of names of personnel taking the alternate APFT NLT 10
OCT 2007.

b. Tasks to maneuver units. None

c. Tasks to combat support units. None

d. Coordinating Instructions.

(1) Time line: Per PLT published training schedule for OCT 2007 drill.

(2) Use of training facilities (CAMP BULLIS) coordinated by SFC Curz.

(3) Uniform is PFU, any necessary hot weather gear, no exceptions. All soldiers
will bring water and writing utensil.

4. SERVICE SUPPORT

a. Concept of Support
My priority of support is to ensure that the APFT and weigh in are conducted
safely and to standards; all required equipment and resources will be made available to
accomplish this mission.

b. Material and Services.


Advance party will prepare two (2) five gallon water jugs for use during the APFT.
Advance party will also secure the following equipment through coordination with BN:

Water Cooler 10 Clipboards


2 stopwatches box of pens
Extra copies DA 705 Extra copies DA5500/5501
FM 21-20 2 tape measures
6 Talk-about radios 2 Combat lifesaver bags
Cups Trash Bags
PT MATS 6 ea. Flashlights
Bullhorn Weight scale

c. Medical evacuation and hospitalization. Any real-time casualties will be evacuated to


local medical civilian authorities after receiving initial treatment from Camp Bullis Med.
team medics. If soldiers require ambulance evacuation 911 will be called.

d. Personnel Support. As listed in the attachment.

5. COMMANDS AND SIGNAL

a. Command. Charlie: As per UMR. All soldiers will ensure they report to their team
sergeant the following: status and location, at all times – no exceptions.

b. Signal.

(1) The primary means of communication will be hand held radios and cellular
phones. All communication is on unsecured channels.

(2) Personally owned cellular phones will be taken:
