SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Summary of findings

The study was made to appraise the which demographic profile

as predictor to teachers commitment and the relationship between

school climate and teachers commitment for school year 2018 –

2019.

Profile of the teacher and school head respondents

Majority of the teacher respondents were married (82.7%),

female (91.3%), 0-5 (33.8%) years work experience, with masters

degree units (60.4%). On the other hand, majority of the school

heads were married (90%), female (75%), with work experience as

school heads ranging 0-20 years, with material units (50%) and

attended Financial Management. Educational Leadership, Dispute

resolution and Personnel management (60%).

2. Level of school climate as perceived by teachers and school


heads

Pupils, teachers and school heads rated “always observed” on

teachers affiliation, institutional integrity, collegiate

leadership, academic emphases, while social use of technology ,

school facilities rated as “frequently observed”


3. Level of teachers’ commitment

All of the criteria on teachers commitment were rated by

teachers and school heads as “strongly agree” those are teachers

commitment towards school, profession, pupils and group work.

4. School performance for year 2018-2019

The most number of awards received by a single school was

four namely: Drum and Lyre Corps Winner,MTAP Winner, BSP Balak

Winner, AP Quiz Winner, while 3 schools received three different

awards and the least number of awards received one and none of

the school did not received awards.

5. Teacher’s profile as predictor of their level of commitment

Based on the analysis conducted findings reveal that there

is relationship between teachers commitment and demographic

profile at 5% level of significance. Furthermore, analysis

illustrated that educational attainment of the teachers

identified as predictor to teachers’ commitment. Thus, the null

hypothesis was rejected.

6.Relationship between the level of school climate and teacher’s


commitment.

Based computed r value of 0.018 and tabular r value of 0.17

at 5% level of significance, there is no significant relationship


between school climate and teachers commitment. Thus, the null

hypothesis accepted.

Conclusions

Based on the findings, the following conclusions was drawn:

Educational attainment was the only predictor to teachers

commitment and no significant relationship between school climate and

teachers commitment.

Recommendations

1. The Department of Education should encourage the teachers

to pursue further study.

2. The current study may be replicated in the whole province of

Bohol to determine if the school climate are significant

relationship to teachers commitment.
