COURSE SYLLABUS IN

Part 1: National Service Training Program


To restore God’s lost image in man through true education. The harmonious development of man’s physical, mental
and spiritual faculties will prepare man for life in this world and life eternal in the world to come.

Mission: ADVENTIST TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE exists to provide quality CHRISTIAN EDUCATION that will help men
for advancement in this world and prepare for Jesus’ soon return.

Vision: ATI envisions t be a center of Bible-based and holistic education upholding Christian excellence, and academic
technological advancement responsive to society’s need of national and global standard.

Goals:
1. To integrate faith during the process of learning.
2. To ensure functional effective curriculum and quality instruction through updated instructional facilities and
proficient faculty and personnel.
3. To demonstrate the unique Seventh-day Adventist healthy lifestyle optimizing holistic quality life.
4. To actively lead in community extension services.
5. To uphold dignity of labor by providing opportunities for work and developing skills for productivity.
6. To establish and sustain local, national and international linkage with academic private institutions,
government and non-government entities.
7. To competitively lead in rendering quality education and technological skills for national, social, educational,
moral and economic progress.
8. To prepare competent graduates ready to serve their fellowmen and God proficient for a global community

Graduates of ATI are expected to exhibit the following outcomes:

Part 3: INFORMATION ABOUT THE COURSE

PRE-REQUISITE:
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The National Service Training Program (NSTP) law or Republic Act No.9163 is a program
aimed at enhancing civic consciousness and defense preparedness in the youth by developing the ethics of service
and patriotism while undergoing training in any of its (3) program components, specifically design to enhance the
youth’s active contribution to the general welfare of Filipinos.

Part 4: LEARNING OUTCOMES (LO)


At the end of the course, students are expected to:

1.  familiarize themselves with the provisions and policies of Republic Act No. 9163- the NSTP Act of
2001;
 apply the NSTP Curricular Program and other related in-and off-campus service and activities;
 explain the guideline for the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC) with the respect to its
mission, functions, and organizations;
 implement the NSTP Course Program based on the designed instructional program for semester
coverage.
 Distinguish the difference between self-awareness and self-management;
 Describe knowledge of self by means positive and negative self-talk;
 Explain the self-management sequence that controls one’s success and failure;
 Identify the two types of self-awareness
 Identify the self-management sequence

2.  Describe the different virtues as the foundation of leadership;


 State and describe qualities and characteristics of a good leader;
 Differentiate and illustrate the kinds of leadership styles as practiced by leaders
 Demonstrate and explain the characteristics of effective team leaders and members

3. Integrate and apply knowledge on how to organizing, staffing, leading through motivation, controlling,
and financial, production, and marketing management.

4. To understand management change and conflict, entrepreneurship and international management, and
management for the future.

Part 5: BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS


Attendance. Students are not expected to attend all lectures regularly due to the pandemic.
Punctuality. Students punctuality is not based on their physical appearance but in complying all the requirements on
the given schedule.
Gadgets. PC, Laptop, cellphones and etc. are highly needed by this kind of blended learning setup.
Dress Code. Undergraduate students areencouraged to wear proper attire during online gathering through online
communication applications.
Proper Grooming. Students are expected to be neat when attending online gatherings or video teleconferencing.
The Don’ts in the e-Classroom. Wearing of inappropriate attire during online gathering is prohibited and must be
aware on their online behavior.

Part 6: COURSE REQUIREMENTS


Discussion and Class Participation. Students will be graded on the quality, as well as the quantity of their intellectual
contributions to discussions online including useful questions addressed to the professor or to the students
presenting the information. Comments should be pertinent to the course material and reflect critical thinking.
Summary and Reflection Papers. Summary and reaction should be completed prior on the scheduled date.
Exercise. These are simple online activities that will sharpen the skills of the student in dealing with the subject.
Final Exam. There will be a comprehensive final exam covering materials from all the modules, exercise, and online
discussions.
