My native town

My native town is Dzerzhinsk. It isn’t big, but nice. It was founded in 1924. About 62 thousand people live in it. Our
town had two names: Krutogorye and Koydanovo. Now it is called Dzerzhinsk.
There are 2 parks, a swimming-pool, 4 schools, 7 kindergartens, a church, a cathedral, a town hall, a music school,
the House of Culture, a library, a museum, a hospital, a big sport ground, cafes, restaurants and a lot of shops and
supermarkets in Dzerzhinsk. We have got a square with a monument in front of the House of Culture.
We have got a lot of transport in our town: cars, buses, minibuses, taxes and trains. I always cross streets when the
traffic lights are green and I use zebra crossing.
My favourite place in Dzerzhinsk is “Raduga”. It is located in Sovetskaya Street, opposite the town hall. It is one of
the biggest supermarkets in Dzerzhinsk. Here you can find an auto shop, a shop with clothes, a food shop, a fast-food
café “Gudzon”, a restaurant “Terem”. Also you can visit a playroom for little kids or English classes.
I think Dzerzhinsk is a good place. You should visit it.
