BRIEF LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH

Date : 09 - 17- 20

I. OBJECTIVE :

At the end of the lesson , the student should be able to:

A. Define and identify the verb;

B. Understand the use of verb;

C. Can formulate / use the verb in a sentence.

II. SUBJECT MATTER :

A. TOPIC : verb: the action word

B. REFERENCES : Internet ( http://study.com/academy/lesson/ what-are action words-


definition – examples html )

C. MATERIALS: speaker ,work sheets, visual aid , book and power point

D. SUBJECT INTEGRATION: combining two or more things.

* All student learn math from the same math teacher.

* Teacher Anne teach their student about social studies in same section.

* Sandra present his output in the same class.


III. PROCEDURE :

A. DRILL

* The teacher will say good morning ,pray , and ask the pupils to arrange the chairs.

B. REVIEW :

* What was our topic yesterday ?

* What is noun ?

C. MOTIVATION :

* The teacher will divide the class into three groups .

* Each group will select a leader.

* The teacher will inform the pupils what are the mechnic and how do
the activity ( Arranging words to form sentence ).

SENTENCE :

1. Nica is painting.
2. The boys are eating.
3. The girls is running.

D. PRESENTING THE NEW LESSON :

* The teacher read the sentences one by one and let the pupils
identify the noun .

* The teacher will ask again what is noun .

* Asking if the pupils saw something or if the noun is performing something


( STUDENT : Yes , teacher )

* Do you have idea what word is used to describe an action ?

* Verb is a word that shows action or being .

* Asking again what is verb .

* Using the sentences we will identify the verb .


Teacher : Nica is painting .

Student : Reading

Teacher : What action did Nica perform ?

Student : Raise hands

Teacher : Yea , Jona

Student : Painting

Teacher : Now look at the second sentence , what is the action verb ?

Student : Raise hands

Teacher : Yes , Abby

Student : Eating

Teacher : Yes , correct the boys are eating .

Teacher : Then in the last sentence ?

Student : Running

E. DISCUSSING NEW CONCEPT AND PRACTICING NEW SKILLS :

* Drawing material tools / instruments.

* The student will identify the drafting tools and drawing.

* Student will having a group activity .

* Students will create her own output about skills of drafting .

* They are given five minutes to activity .

* After finishing the activity they will present her /his own output in the class .

* They are given two minutes for presentation .

* The teacher will deepen the students answer

* Teacher will ask their student on what lesson did he / she learned yesterday .

* Teacher will call someone to answer his question .

* The teacher will give an activity to the students .
