Brochure (Issue Awareness Campaign)


Content Standard
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the integration of social science perspective and community
action initiative.
Performance Standard
The learners shall be able to synthesize the integrative experience of implementing community-action
initiatives applying social sciences’ ideas and methods.
Goal
 The goal is to raise awareness about the current social issues that the Philippines is currently facing
and to empower the youth members of the community about their role in community action.
Role
 As a youth advocate, you are appointed by the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman as the Head of the
Public Relations Committee of your barangay.

Audience
 You need to convince the Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman and seek her approval for the advocacy
brochure to be distributed.
Situation
 The context you find yourself in is the lack of awareness of the youth members of your community
about the current social issues happening in the country and the lack of empowerment with regards
to their role as a youth
Product
 You will create an advocacy brochure in order to educate and make the youth in your community
aware of a certain social issue and empower them about their role in community action.
