Hello, boys and girls! You will study the art of drawing in this lesson. You
love to draw, don’t you? To be able to draw, you need to learn the following
topics:
1. Art Elements: Lines, Color, Texture
2. Art Principle: Balance, Proportion, Variety
3. Art Process: Drawing, Portraits, Family Portraits, Persons, School,
Furniture, Animals/Plants.
Look at the pictures. Put a check (✔) on top of the picture of children
who make art works. Circle all pictures that are works of artists.

Objectives:
Stencils a design (in recycled paper, plastic, cardboard, leaves and other
materials) and prints on paper, cloth, sinamay, bark, or a wall
Materials:
gabi stalk, banana stalk, calamansi, or okra
painting materials such as dye, watercolor, or ink cotton or
sponge
paper
Procedure:
1. Put a color on the sponge or cotton. Place it on a plate.
2. Cut the okra, calamansi, banana, or gabi stalk crosswise.
3. Press the stalk on the sponge or cotton with color. Observe the
natural design in this part of the vegetable or fruit.
4. Press it on a clean sheet of paper.
5. Repeat procedures until you have formed an interesting design.( You
can use two or three kinds of plant or vegetable parts for printing.)

UNIT 4
This lesson is all about art crafts that can be viewed at the front, side.
And at the back. They are called sculptures and 3D crafts. Other things
that you will study in this lesson are as follows:
Bamboo
Clay
Wood
Paper and cardboard
Found materials
Objectives:
Creates a useful 3D object: a pencil holder, bowl, container, using recycled
materials like plastic bottles.
Procedure:
1. Cut the plastic bottle
Objectives:
Construct a mask out of a cardboard, glue, found materials, bilao, paper
plate, strings, seeds and other found materials
Activity 5:
Materials: Crayons, oil pastels, marker pen, watercolor, short folder, pair
of scissors, cutter, two pieces of rubber band.
Procedures:
1. Put the folder horizontally across the face and mark the places for the
eyes, the nose and the lips.
2. Cut out a hole on each mark.
3. Color or paint the mask with any coloring materials.
4. Cut two small holes in line with the ears.
5. Use a rubber band for tying.
Example:
