6. Why is there a need for managers to study the behavioral sciences?

Managers needed to study behavioral science because it help the managers to

to see jobs as tiny components of a dynamic production chain.

Management is considered as both science and art because it includes proper
phases or stages in dealing with deliverable that requires creative approach to make the
whole management set-up a successful one. Like in Project Management Cycle for
example, there are processes that requires tools, skills and even planning procedures.
8. Discuss each of the following approaches to management:
a. systems approach and contingency approach
The approach to structures focuses on the internal dynamics of the structure
and actions of an organization. In the other hand, the organizational theory of
contingency focuses on the external determinants of the conduct and function of the
organization.
b. cost-saving approach and unified operational approach
The cost-saving plan would help organizations save money by reviewing
existing expenses and seeking ways to reduce internal costs. As organizations
integrate cost-saving techniques into their business strategies, they will achieve a
competitive advantage to get to the bottom line while unified operational approach to
management recognizes that there is a core of knowledge about managing that exists
only in management.
