My studies: I attend Rózsa Úti Primary School and I’m in my
eighth year, so I’m a school-leaver. After finishing my studies here I would like to go to an excellent secondary grammar school. Our school: Our enormous school is located on the outskirts. It is a two-storey building and it is well-equipped with specialized labs. The school has a school yard, but we have a football pitch, a tennis court and an ice rink, too. We usually play tag, hide-and-seek. In the junior section we also used to see-saw and swing. Our school has a canteen, but the food there leaves a lot to be desired, because it is yuck/awful/disgusting. The school has a main entrance, and the classrooms have desks, chairs, whiteboards, blackboards, and interactive white boards. Chalk, board markers and sponges are always under the boards. Our school also has a staffroom, and a library, where we must always keep quiet. In the porter’s office when can we press the buzzer. In our classroom, we have a notice- board.
Favourite subjects and hated subjects:
I am industrious/diligent, but I ’m not so keen on a few subjects. There are two types of subjects: arts subjects (such as Literature, Grammar and History) and science subjects (Chemistry, Maths, Physics and Biology). I believe arts subjects come to me easily because I’m quick on the uptake. My favourite lessons are: History, Literature, and Geography. Honestly, I have some classmates who are lagging behind with the curriculum, there are a little bit slow on the uptake, and they are usually late for the school or play truant from it.
My favourite teacher: I have a favourite teacher. He is my
English tutor. His name is Barni. He is kind to students and he can explain clearly. What’s more, he’s really dedicated and consistent. However, he ios sometimes a little bit strict, but it is quite important. His classes are extremely enjoyable, funny and amusing.
Breaks: During the breaks, I usually eat my elevenses, some
cold cuts, with vegetables, and butter. I speak to my friends, and my classmates, and I revise for a test.
Private lessons, and workouts: My schedule is very tight,
because I have a lot to do in the afternoons. For instance, I have workouts, and private lessons with private tutors. On Monday, I go to a private class in Grammar and Literature, and I also have a workout. I do fencing on Monday. Occasionally, I go swimming to the nearby swimming pool. PE classes: Our PE lesson are quite exhausting , because we do a lot of tasks in our class. Firstly, we do warming-up, Secondly, we do aerobic sor play ball games. Thirdly, we do streching. Our PE teacher is too strict, so I don’t really like her.
English lessons: English is one of my favorite subjects. The
school also has interesting classes, the teacher is helpful and kind. We learn a lot of new things, we practice speaking skills, enrich our vocabulary, do grammar tasks and discuss everyday issues such as: family, school or lifestyles. The English lessons are quite interesting and useful.
The importance of language learning: Learning a language is
very useful for several reasons. It is very important to make yourself understood abroad and you can get better chances of employment. Moreover, you need to learn a foreign language to be admitted to universities or for fun. For instance: to understand foreign channels, and read books in the original.
School events: Our school has plenty of events. For instance
excursions, breaking up ceremonies, school leavning ceremony and memorial days. On memorial days, we put a wreath on a statue. During the school events, we always need to wear uniforms. In the breaking up ceremonies, the 7th graders arrange for graduation from schools, they decorate the classes.
