The Weather in Hungary: Hungary is situated in The Carpathian Basin and it

has temperate continental climate. Our climate is influenced by the
Mediterrean Sea. The average temperature is 15 degrees Celsius. The weather
is often unpredictable and changeable.
I rarely listen to the weather forecast/report, because it isn’t accurate or
reliable. I suppose it’s useful to listen to it sometimes, as it can help you decide
what to put on in the morning. You can also avoid getting soaked to the skin.
On a rainy day, people feel depressed, and they are sad, but when it’s bright
and sunny, people are very cheerful, and they are in good mood. Honestly, I’m
sensitive to the fronts and the abrupt changes in weather: I have a splitting or a
throbbing headache before rain comes.

The seasons: Hungary has four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Spring is quite pleasant and warm and the flowers start to bloom and the trees
bud. However, it’s often chilly, especially in the morning.
In summer, the weather is boiling/sweltering/scorching hot. Although it’s my
favourite season, I sometimes find it unbearable. By the end of spring, the
snow in the mountains melts, and this might cause massive natural disasters. In
summer the floods are very common, on the banks of rivers. There is also a
plenty of rain in this season. A very beautiful rainbow is formed after rain in
summer.
Autumn is extremely humid, chilly, slippery and rainy. There is a Indian
summer, in early autumn, when the beginning of autumn is still warm. In
autumn, the leaves of the trees change and take on beautiful new colours. They
usually turn yellow, red and orange. Unfortunately, there’s sleet,
thunderstorms and rain showers in autumn. To tell the truth, the majority of
students hate autumn because school starts.
Winter is a freezing cold season. There are ots of blizzards, a foot of snow, and
lakes and rivers usually freeze over. The weather is quite chilly, and cold. In
winter, natural disasters are very common.

Saving the environment

I believe it’s extremely important to save our Planet. The most serious
environmental problems are global warming, climate change, deforestation
and the extinction of certain animal species (the giant panda and the polar
bear). We can do plenty of things to save it: we can use public transportation
instead of our cars and we can also select the household waste.

Animals, and pets: The majorty of people love animals very much. The majority
of people also keep pets at home because animals are very cute and adorable.
People love to stroke/caress their pets. However, there are quite a few people
who are frightened of animals. They have animal phobias, and they don’t have
pets, in their homes. Lots of people are allergic to animal fur, but, as I see it,
pets are very good company.
Keeping pets has numerous pros. Firstly, pets can comfort people. Secondly,
they are nice company for people who live on their own. Finally, they help us
develop some social skills such as care and attention.
On the other hand, pet owners have plenty of duties/tasks. They should be
feed the animal, bath them, play around with them and take them for a walk. A
little pet is a huge responsibility, indeed.

We have dogs at home, his name is Charlie. He is a Golden Retriever breed.

He’s pure bred, but there are mongrel dogs as well. My sister and I had
hamsters, who were very playful and cute. Most people have guinea-pigs.
Today, it is also possible to see live animals in the zoo. There are various types
of animals there, such as lions, dolphins, monkeys, bird breeds, and many other
species of animals. Personally, I don’t like zoos that much because the animals
are locked up in a cage.
