Hello everyone, my name is Geronimo Diaz as you know, and I am here to talk about the social

relationships that we all have. The first thing I am going to say before answering the next two
questions is that my focus will be in the united states that is a first world country. The first
question we have is what the individual role in a community. Before begging with this, I going to
tell the definition of community which is the people living in one particular area or people who
are considered as a unit because of their common interests, social group, or nationality. Having
this clear We can start answering the question. So, we may see the roles as the jobs of the people.
So, we can say that everyone has a different role in the community depending on their job. Here I
can say some examples of this roles like the most important jobs that I may consider, well not
more important but some that may be to highlight, the first one would be the police forces and
the armed forces whose role would be to protect people from all the community from the danger
inside and outside, the second job that I consider important to highlight also are doctors and all
the people that work in the hospital had a role that is to maintain people's health we can see them
more this days with all the coronavirus pandemic , and lastly there would be the teachers whose
role would be to educate the people and the students that are the future of the community and
there are even more jobs and each one has their own role, there are so many that I cant tell them
all now. But like I said before these 3 are for me they need to be highlighted. All the roles are
important, you may see that in the examples, but everything is connected, if someone does not do
their role, the rest of the community is going like stop working.

Now we can continue with the second question that is What role do rules, and regulations play in
the formation of a society? This question is extremely easy to answer. Rules and regulations play a
particularly important role for the community. These norms and regulations have the main role of
maintaining order among the community and that basically everything is not ruined, with to
maintain calm and safety for everyone. The rules and laws basically establish the the obligations
and responsibilities that people have within the community, which are normally enforced by the
authorities and, as I said before, to maintain order, since many of these norms often limit some
activities to protect the rest of individuals. In the united states we can see that people that doesn’t
follow the rules are punish in a strong way, An example of this may be that you cannot drive if
you have previously consumed alcohol, as this action is potentially dangerous for the person
driving and for other people. When the rule is broken, the person who did it would be harmed and
would have consequences that may be in prison many years cause in this country as I said before
the penalties are like excessive. Another example can be to not throw trash in public places,
because many like cities or countries take care of the community to do not look bad or because
this affects people’s health. And for these u will need to pay a penalty fee that is normally have an
elevate cost. With these examples we see that the penalties are excessive, so this make the people
try to control themselves because the law is good in this country. Something that here in Colombia
will not happen, because here the law only doesn’t work correctly, some one can steel something
and be captured by the police, but in the next day he will be in the street again, so criminals here
doesn’t have a lot of fear to the autoriyhies like in the u.s.

As a small conclusion we can say that both the roles of individuals and the roles of norms and rules
in a community are of the utmost important in order to keep the community in peace and also the
roles of each individual because it keep all normally and safe.
