HYDRAULIC RESIDUAL
CHECK VALVE
Part Number: RH01K
The purpose of this residual check valve is to
maintain a small residual pressure of around 3 to
10 psi in the brake line upstream of the backing
plate assembly. This residual check valve is
intended to maintain a positive pressure on the
seals in both the backing plate adjuster and park
cylinders. This small pressure should help keep
the seal solidly against their cylinder walls.
Please note that this backing plate assembly has
a long history of small leakage whether they are
purchased new or rebuilt. A small amount of
external wetness in this unit is acceptable. This
residual check valve should also help if the
vehicle is parked.
