Seminar/Workshop
01/10/2009 - 31/10/2009
Registration deadline: 23 September. Send your personal details, along with your
CV and a covering letter outlining your interest to arteleku@gipuzkoa.net
On-line and in-person forum which will study the role of networks, their working
dynamics and their link to an ecosystem 2.0 in the context of the production of arts
practices. We will analyse these practices, as well as the structures and dynamics
special to the so-called Web 2.0 from different philosophical, social, political,
biological, physical, economics y ecosystem viewpoints.
The Forum has two parts, one consisting of virtual work and the other of a face-to-
face workshop with the aim of implementing ideas related to concepts discussed
during the seminar. The proposals will be defined and selected by the seminar
participants and developed over the course of one week in Arteleku.
Description:
In recent years the concept of networks has taken on special relevance in that it is
used to explain new social relationships, the free distribution of information via the
web, organisational structures of human groups, whether hackers, fans, activists,
or even resistance groups, and virus transmission at both a biological and
computer level.
In the artistic field, networks have been incorporated as a means of production and
publication for some time. That they became incorporated was principally due to
the effective establishment of the Internet and the working methods deriving from
it. But this incorporation should bring with it a transversal reflection regarding the
potentialities, limitations and political implications of the use of networks. The aim
of this forum is to study, from different perspectives, the various theories on
networks, establishing parallels, similarities and differences, areas of confluence or
disruption that may contribute towards clarifying the different processes associated
with them.
Theoretical content:
I – Theoretical-historical context of the concepts of networks and ecosystems
(socially, technologically and biologically)
II - Protocols and the structure of horizontal power
III- Structures/dynamics of power in networks
IV- Collaborative dynamics in cultural/artistic production
V- Relationship between experts/non-experts in network structures
VI- Concept of the finished work vs. work in progress
Project workshop:
Methodology:
The beginning of the course takes the form of a virtual forum which lasts for
three weeks, in the course of which we will discuss the most important topics and
the state of affairs of current research into the relationships between art, networks
and ecosystems. At this point in the seminar the participants will put forward their
proposals for projects for the in-person workshop which will take place
subsequently. These projects will be implemented individually or in groups. The
practical workshop will last for one week. For both the conceptual discussions
and the practical projects the course coordinators and guests will be on hand to
offer their assessment. Although the course takes place over two phases
(theoretical and practical) the aim is for the whole process to have continuity and to
be inter-related.

ARTELEKU
Artes, redes y ecosistemas 2.0
Seminario/Taller
01/10/2009 - 31/10/2009
diferentes procesos asociados a ellas.

Mintegia/Tailerra
2009/10/01 – 2009/10/31
Izen-emateko epea: irailak 23. Zure datu pertsonalak bidali CVa eta motibazio
eskutitzarekin batera arteleku@gipuzkoa.net helbidera
Foroa bi zatitan banatuko da: batetik, lan birtuala; eta bestetik bertaratzeko
lantegia, mintegian eztabaidatutako kontzeptuak lotzen dituzten ideiak praktikan
jartzeko. Proposamenak mintegiko parte hartzaileek zehaztu eta hautatuko dituzte
eta aste betez Artelekun garatuko dira.
Azalpena:
Azken urte hauetan sareek garrantzi handia hartu dute, honelakoak azaltzeko
erabili izan baitira: gizarte harreman berriak, sarean informazioa modu askean
banatzea, gizataldeen antolaketa egiturak (hacker, fan, ekintzaile, erresistentzia
taldeak) eta birus biologiko eta informatikoen transmisioa.
Artearen alorrean aspaldi hasi ziren sareak produkzio eta hedapeneko euskarri
gisa erabiltzen. Hasieran, Internetaren ezarpen eraginkorragatik eta ondorioz
sortutako lan metodoengatik hasi ziren erabiltzen. Gero, sareen erabilpenaren
ahalmen, muga eta inplikazio politikoen zeharkako hausnarketa ere aipatu behar
da. Foro honen xedea da ikuspuntu ezberdinetatik sareei buruzko teoriak
aztertzea, paralelismoak, antzekotasunak eta ezberdintasunak ezartzea eta
elkarguneak edo eztabaida guneak bilatzea horiekin lotutako prozesuak argitzeko
asmoz.
Eduki teorikoak:
I.- Sare eta ekosistemen testuinguru teoriko-historikoa (alor sozial, teknologiko eta
biologikoan) II.- Protokoloak eta botere-egitura horizontala III.- Botere
egiturak/dinamikak sareetan IV.- Lankidetza dinamika produkzio kultural eta
artistikoan V.- Aditu/ez adituen arteko harremana sareen egituretan VI.-
Amaitutako lana, bidean dagoen lanaren aurrez aurre
Proiektu tailerra:
Metodologia:
Ikastaroa foro birtual batekin hasiko da eta hiru aste iraungo du. Bertan, topiko
garrantzitsuenei buruz eztabaidatuko da eta baita arte, sare eta ekosistemei
buruzko egungo ikerketen egoerari buruz ere. Parte-hartzaileek mintegian ondoren
egingo den bertaratzeko ikastegirako dituzten proposamenak aurkeztuko dituzte.
Proiektu horiek banaka edo taldeka garatuko dira. Tailer praktikoak aste bete
iraungo du. Kontzeptuei buruzko eztabaidetan eta proiektu praktikoetan
koordinatzaileek eta ikastarora gonbidatutakoek laguntza eskainiko dute. Nahiz eta
ikastaroa bi zatitan egin (online eta bertaratuz), eta bi fase izan (teorikoa eta
praktikoa), prozesu guztian zehar jarraipen bat egotea eta elkarrekiko lotura bat
ezartzea da xedea.
