Re: Permission to resume field works for Mindanao Railway Project

Dear Sir;

This is to acknowledge the receipt of your letter requesting for the resumption of field works
for Mindanao Railway Project dated April 29, 2020.

In reply thereto, we regret to inform you that we may cannot cater your request due to the
current COVID-19 situation in our locality. As you know, the City of Digos is under General
Community Quarantine (GCQ). While we are perceived to be a moderate to low-risk area, we
are enforcing preemptive measures to curtail the adverse effects of this global pandemic.

We recognize the significance of these field works for the Mindanao Railway Project.
However, we deemed it wise not to resume such activities for now in the interest of public
health and safety.

Likewise, we acknowledge your eagerness to fast track the Mindanao Railway Project.
Should the curve be flattened and the community quarantine lifted, we are very willing to
comply for the speedy realization of such project.

We hope that this letter guides you well. We wish you the best in your endeavor to effectively
manage the projects in your plate. God speed!
