MANTES, MARK ANTHONY L.

GROUP 4 BS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Life and Works of Rizal

1. Explain the topic/subtopic that is assigned to you and give importance to that as a
presenter.

To be Honest I love History related subjects so when I found out that were

going to have “Rizal” as our subject I find my self exited but during the discussion

I was amazed because it was not focused on Rizal rather it focuses about

Nationalism or the axiom of being a Filipino. I find it more exiting to learn about it

and correlating it to Rizal’s life, this is important for us students to learn it not just

because we have as a Filipino to but also it will have an affect in the progress of

our country.

Through reporting I was able to share my knowledge about Rizal that not

usually found in text books and also colerates about our topic Popular

Nationalism of Rizal, it is viewed by what does society thinks of Rizal and

misconception about Rizal and I find interesting to learn and tackle about it. This

is important to learn about this because it will widen our thinking about Rizal but

also our views about the importance of Nationalism. This lesson refrains people

about misguided information about Rizal ad we all know that not all idolizes or

fonds Rizal but with this lesson helps students to correct that misjudgment and

with this we learn more information about Rizal and his love of country. To add
on, this can be a motivation of others that Rizal’s life is not perfect but Rizal is

well known all over the world because of his contribution and love of country,

remember that in our topic we also discussed different statues or

commemoration of Rizal in some part of the world and this means that Rizal’s

Popular views is not just in the Philippines but also to other countries.

I watched some news outside of our country that they want change in their

government like in Thailand and in Pakistan, it seems like they are not contended

in the ruling of their government. This kind of scenarios always remind me of

Rizal, like Rizal the mentioned countries doesn’t want bloody war against their

government they are rallying peacefully to call some changes and Rizal is that

too remember that he uses writings or novels as his platform in wanting changes.

I hope this kind of thinking remains in the minds of younger generation that war

casualties will result to more casualties. I enjoy a lot in this subject and to our

caring Professor thank you for being considerate in this new normal way of

classes.
2. Give a view of the future Filipino nation.
When I think the future of my country, I also think my future staying on it.

Maybe I am now a Registered Electrical Engineer in the future and I want to use

my profession in contributing for a better and progressive country.

I am an advocate sustainable use of energy, as you all know here in the

Philippines, we have the natural gas and coal as our sources of energy and that’s

not enough and I see the future of the Philippines to use Nuclear Energy. Every

progressive country uses Nuclear Energy as their source of energy, why? This

links to every economic activities that put a country as its best for example I view

the future of the Philippines to have fast Internet speed, the fastest the internet

speed the faster the economic growth with the use of fiber optics this will lead to

more jobs more investment in our country. Imagine a cheap and reliable Energy

with the exception of blackouts and Nuclear is the largest source of clean power.

Imagine High Speed Trains that will ease the traffic congestion in urban areas no

more traffic complaining and less road accidents. I will use my profession in

giving sustainable experience to my fellow country men specially to my future

family.

I seek comfort in the idea that there is hope in seeing a prosperous

Philippines someday and for the present Philippines today I hope all of us thrive

for progress even corruption and calamities creates impact in our lives I know

better days will come.

The Future depends on what we do in

the Present.
